Hotel Blu Vancouver
Excellent amenities and location but expensive
Great location close to attractions, amenities and public transport. Fantastic artisan breakfast was a real joy, staff very helpful and business centre was easy to use. Not great in terms of value for money but maybe that's just Vancouver prices.

Decent functional hotel
Functional hotel which is well appointed fairly close to the centre of Vancouver at the end of Robson Street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't really have the wow factor and lack of bar let's it down a bit though staff were able to point out good bars and restaurants in the local area. Would definitely recommend eating out for breakfast which is cheaper and nicer.

This hotel is amazing! Modern, clean, tidy and plush with some very fancy features and elements. Best hotel we stayed in on our West Coast adventure. It was ideally suited in the heart of downtown Vancouver, with hundreds of bars, restaurants and shops within a 10 minute walk in any direction. We just loved it, in every way. The staff were brilliant and super helpful... I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Lovely Hotel shame about the shuttle driver
We stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel accommodation to be of a very high standard. All of the receptionist staff were so polite and helpful and they allowed us to stay in in the room for an extra 2.5 hrs on our departure day as we were catching a long haul flight to Australia. The hotel is a boutique style hotel and the beds were so comfortable. 1 small issue was our room was close to the lifts so we could hear the lift noise and people talking at the lift areas perhaps a polite notice by the lifts would help this for future guests. We had 1 final issue when we took the hotel shuttle bus to the train link for the airport where the shuttle driver was most rude and abrupt with us when we named the main train station incorrectly he snapped at me using the correct name of the rail station and then didn't speak to us at all then became really engaged with other American persons on the shuttle and tried to see if he could drum up business for his fishing trips. This older Canadian man driver clearly doesn't like international travelers or gay couples and he needs a bit of training on how to speak to people properly and politely using such a lovely hotel and neighbouring hotels. He has no manners. Shame as it ruined the end of our stay.
