Great attentive and kind staff. The room was perfect and my children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Very minor downfall was that television viewing was limited and the TV was not a 'smart' one. Breakfast was lovely and the views were great in the pool and throughout.

Fabulous hotel, loved our room. Very popular, so should have reserved a table for drinks at Gong, however we were able to get a window table at Ting for pre dinner drinks, so no issue. My main meal at Ting was not great, but starter was delicious. Good buffet breakfast (deposit being told on arrival there was no buffet!) No eggs benedict on the menu.

More effort in serving tea and cake in room. When i called nothing was available. My husband had to go outside to a cafe. Also a more varied British food selection on the dining menu. One or two simple dishes would be nice eg burger and chips.

The (almost) perfect birthday celebration!
We had a great stay at The Shard! The views were amazing, the food was delicious, and the swimming pool and spa area was so relaxing. The service was second-to-none, the only thing missing was the lack of acknowledgement for my partner's 30th birthday which I'd mentioned when I booked. Such a shame as we've stayed in hotels with less stars and been completely spoilt with chocolates, cards, and bottles in wine before.
