The staff was very helpful. Walked us to our room and showed us where to park. The room was cozy and comfortable. A hot tub right outside our door! Very convenient. It's drained each night, so also it's very clean. The views of the river while relaxing in the water were the BEST. The breakfast was delicious and there were so many great choices. This hotel was recommended by colleagues who had stayed there previously so we knew what to expect. Having said that, the setting is really spectacular and we were amazed by the restaurant and the hospitality there too. The food was the best we tasted in Iceland and the breakfast was the only one to include a hot buffet, with waffles. Jumping into the river after the hot spring bath was a highlight for everyone. Stella at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The property has a serenity spa vibe to it. It has a geothermal pool and 2 hot tubs. There is also a quaint river beside it which we swam in as our cold plunge. The food at the restaurant is awesome. Breakfast buffet was really good. Highly recommend this place.
