Sand Pebbles
Not especially welcoming on arrival. What really made us laugh was breakfast (told it was 8.30 - 9.30, even though room info said 8.30 - 10.00) - arrived at 8.15 had breakfast, was finishing cup of tea when the chap running the place walked in, turned off the lights and the music without saying a word to us - just left us finishing breakfast in silent gloom :-)

Convenient for Hope Cove
Ideal location near the beach, breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were good, but room and furnishings were somewhat tired. Adequate for a night or two, but expensive for what it was.

Sand Pebbles
A hidden gem
Following a drive from north to south Devon, then having to find our way down the skinniest of lanes, it was a relief to arrive at Sand Pebbles. Our room was not big but very comfortable and welcoming. Unfortunately the weather was not so good but Hope Cove is a step back in time. So relaxed, so natural. Good pub with what looked like a good menu. We really enjoyed our two breakfasts and especially our two evening meals, cooked by Ian, who is a farmer in his spare? time. The meat he cooked was from his farm and the sea bass freshly caught, which gave a real locally sourced feel to the food. The desserts are made by a lady in the village. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sand Pebbles.
