Refused check in at the hotel
I walked into the hotel shortly after 3pm to try to check in only to be stopped at the entrance by a very aggressive and unpleasant member of their staff who told me I couldn’t stay there before he even asked for my name or reservation number. He blamed Hotels.com for making the wrong reservation and was rudely told to go away and find another place to stay. The experience left me feeling shaken, humiliated and belittled. I will NEVER use Hotels.com or The Strand Hotel in Eastbourne again.
