Wonderful staff, support local Port A!
First and foremost this place should be commended for housing Port A residents displaced by the hurricane! Y’all are a blessing to the community and we were happy to spend our money at your establishment! Things to know: The walls are thin, I had to ask the 5 am fisherman to turn down the news so our toddler could sleep, but everyone is friendly there and they were accommodating. The floors are tile so they will always be sandy, but you’re in a beach town, deal with it. The beds are nice, clean and comfortable. And the AC unit worked well and kept us cozy and cool in the humidity. The shower was NOT for a tall person like myself, but there was always hot water. The breakfast was sparse but at least their was some. My favorite breakfast joint there (Annie’s) sadly did not survive the storm, and breakfast options are slim on the island, just something to plan ahead for. The patio area is communal, which is nice if you want to drink and be social with your neighbors, but that’s not my thing. It is extremely conveniently located to the ferry and to the beach. As of 9/18 their cable “was out” as we were told by the front desk but we were still able to get ours to work. Completely understandable considering the town is still building infrastructure to this day. There are no coffee pots in the room, but they do have it at breakfast. And the stripes just down the road usually has it through most of the day. Overall it’s a great place to rest your head. Thanks!

we did encounter a few roaches in our room. there was only one working light all other bulbs were blown we had to go get light bulbs. only offered towels during our stay housekeeping didn't even make the beds. the water was shut off during our stay. breakfast was included on the website when we got there we were told they would only do breakfast sat and sun... we stayed until monday . the rate included breakfast we were not reimbursed . i realize this is NOT the motels fault, however, we were inundated by pterodactyl size mosquitos.

    Quite Nice!
The Shark Reef was just great for us, as was the most excellent restaurant next door, San Juans!

Not recommended unless you’re in desperate need
One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I’m not a picky person. From the moment we walked into our room it smelled like raw sewage, seemed very dirty and we even killed a few roaches. Bed sheets had small holes from cigarette burns. The only good I have to say would be the staff was very friendly and breakfast buffet was good.
