We arrived to find that our reservations were not there, though we booked in August through hotels.com and had email confirmation. After calling hotels.com and explaining, their rep called the front desk and they somehow found our reservation but said that our reservation number had changed since we booked. Not a good start, as we had travelled over 24 hours at that point and were extremely tired. We had to pay for an early check in, which we had to also wait for while they “cleaned” our room. In quotes because it wasn’t quite so. Then there was a dispute over whether our reservation included breakfast. They argued that it didn’t, but we showed proof from our printed reservation email. Another hassle. While we waited for confirmation of our reservation, we asked for some tea to tide us over until they could find our missing reservation. Of course promptly we were given a bill for that service. Felt like we were nickled and dimed to death. Discovered that their menu did not include non-vegetarian items, nor any wine or beer available. In fact we were not allowed to bring our own into the hotel, according to a large poster in the small lobby. Apparently this is their policy, which Should have been noted in the hotel listing by hotels.com so it didn’t surprise us as guests on arrival. Will not return here to stay for future business trips.
