great spa break
Hotel was lovely, comfortable, clean. Service was excellent from all but one staff member. Food and restaurant and staff was excellent too, if I must make a criticism though the breakfast room needs a bit of background music and some new chairs. It’s location is ideal short stroll to beach and shops etc lovely spa and facilities.

Connaught Lodge Review
Lovely comfortable bed and great service with very friendly and helpful staff. Even better if there was an internal walkway from the lodge to the main hotel, to avoid inclement weather. Car park is a bit small and difficult to manoeuvre in.

Staff are really friendly and the location is pretty good. The standard of the rooms and level of maintenance is poor

Night manager takeaway?!
Our original room had cobwebs next to bed and in the fan, and a broken window latch. We then found someone else's hair under the bed runner. We were then given the choice of 4 different rooms to move to. The second bedroom was better in terms of cleanliness but the hairdryer had exposed wires and the PAT Testing was overdue by over a year. The overall decor was in a poor condition throughout the hotel, with wallpaper peeling etc. The 24 hour menu was clearly not meant to be ordered from as the night time reception staff seemed very put out when we asked for a sandwich and even suggested that we go to a local takeaway instead. All daytime we're lovely and very helpful.

Poor 2.0
Not worth the cost
The waiting staff are nice, the reception staff are rude, the breakfast was nice, room for £150 was tiny, no air con, noisy and banging door all night until we jammed it. Maybe try somewhere else, def not worth the money

Bank Holiday Escape
We went to the Connaught Lodge for one night over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Bournemouth was heaving. Fortunately the hotel did have a couple of space left that we could use otherwise I am not sure where we would have parked and there is not enough parking for all. The check in area was in the main hotel and looked lovely. The room was on the top floor of the lodge and was a good size with a sofa but was quite dated and very hot and stuffy. There was a small fan in the wardrobe that helped a little. The spa area was nice but not enough seating and tired in places. We had dinner in the brasserie which was beautiful and the food was delicious and accompanied by some jazz music. Would recommend eating there. All in all a lovely stay but the rooms in the lodge could do with renovating.

Not impressed. Lodge feels isolated from Hotel facilities. Disappointed with 'junior suite' average size bedroom, second room wasted and not used. Television complicated to achieve required channels. Small ensuite, single pedestal basin with no room to put toilet items. No shaving mirror, No slip mat for very slippery bath when showering. Would not re book
