This is a fantastic place to stay, accessible only with a car, about 20 minutes from Carcassonne. Beautiful setting, comfortable modern room with lots of space and amenities. Amazing breakfast (best croissant I had in france), very accomodating staff.

The property and vibe was very chill and easygoing. Simon gave us a little tour when we arrived and we immediately felt welcome. A great place for families, the pool was a big hit. We petted two cats and a horse and found a few lizards on hot rocks and my daughter chased grasshoppers. Beds were very comfortable and we all fell asleep to chirping crickets and a fresh breeze. The newly renovated bathroom in the family suite was gorgeous but could use a couple more hooks or towel hand towel holder. We all enjoyed staying here and wished we had more time at Domaine de la Fraisse!

We had booked a one night stay for the property's proximity to Carcassone airport. The room was lovely with kettle, teabags and fridge. If we had arrived at @ 4-5pm we would have enjoyed a relaxed walk around the Domaine and felt confident about driving back to Carcassone (30 mins) for an evening meal as we were told that there are no restaurants in any of the nearer villages. Unfortunately we were delayed and although we had phoned ahead to say that we wouldn't be arriving until 19.30 when we arrived there were no staff and we had to phone to find out how to access our room. We were at fault for not timing our journey better but we were surprised that this large Domaine had no residential staff. The only other pertinent comment we would make is that you need a good satnav to find it as the tracks to it are many, very narrow with very few passing places or opportunities to turn round.

La struttura è immersa nel verde. È necessario avvertire con anticipo dell'orario di arrivo perché la proprietà non è sempre in loco. L'appartamento per 3 persone è spazioso e composto da una camera matrimoniale e una camera singola; il bagno è bello e dotato di ogni comfort anche se aveva il water sporco. In generale pulizie più accurate renderebbero gli interni perfetti. Dispone di una piccola ma graziosa piscina e di tanti piccoli spazi esterni. Purtroppo non è prevista la cena nel patio esterno, per cui bisogna necessariamente uscire e raggiungere Carcassonne, a 25' di distanza. Sono presenti asini e cavalli, ma non è chiaro se si possa prenotare una passeggiata a cavallo. La colazione nella norma, niente di particolare, qualcosa di salato (poco), baguettes, croissant e pain au chocolat. Anche qui qualcosa di fatto in casa sarebbe senz'altro un valore aggiunto.

Todo muy bien. Un hotel muy tranquilo entre viñedos. Lo único es que las camas indiniduales las sentimos algo angostas y esta como a 20 min de la Cd amurallada pero el camino es un tramo entre viñedos de un solo carril el camino. Esto es muy bonito pero creo q sería recomendable no llegar muy obscuro. Aunque no se siente peligroso el lugar pero muy solo el canino para entrar.

Pour le repos cet endroit est parfait mais pour y accéder il faut le mériter car la route est très étroite. Les chambres sont très confortables mais attention à ceu qui ont peur des araignées car comme tout endroit sain et à la campagne nous ne sommes pas les seuls habitants. Peace and Quiet in Cathar country

Domaine de Fraisse is a great place if you like peace and quiet, comfort but not luxury, country walks, responsibly sourced food. In the winter the restaurant is shut and they only do breakfast - this may be a limiting factor for some but there are plenty of great restos in Nearby Carcassonne and Limoux and smaller bars in the nearby villages. A car is a necessity. The hotel is dog friendly and the staff all go that extra mule - we have stayed there 3 times.
