A huge mistake!
Tbh this hostel’s description was nothing else than a very big disappointment because once arrived there we encountered a series of huge issues: the hot water didn’t work properly in the first night, for the whole stay we didn’t have heating at all, the sink and shower were leaking and the window didn’t close.,. Basically all the cold air was in our room! More than that the bedsheets were dirty and when asked to be changed we have been told that they can’t do anything about this matter and that we had to wait for the 3 nights to pass for them to change anything even though we had everyday house keeping Lay’s for! We asked for many times to speak with the management and nobody have been able to get in touch with them, like they weren’t even existing. It was a very bad experience and for the money we gave we really didn’t get anything more than a bed. When telling them about all these issues and that we want a refund because none of the services have been provided, we have been told that because the room was booked through hotels.com, they can not do anything about it. We asked at least for some additional heaters and we have been told that they can’t provide any. Basically nobody cared for anything else than taking our money and that was it. I am very disappointed and angry and I would advise people to think many times before going to this hostel!!!

Very good 8.0
In top turret bedroom which is a lot of stairs as there's no lift Last flight was steep narrow and low headroom Cleanliness not as good as previous experiences Carpet not cleaned around bed very well Room OK warm but lot of noise from traffic outside as windows only single glazed Also could hear noise from next room as thin walls & bed on dividing wall No other guest noise as only 2 rooms on that floor Will probably stay again due to convenience as close to college

Good 6.0
You get what you pay for, but the absolute minimum
This is not really a youth or tourist hostel. Though clean, it is even more basic than any other hostels I have stayed in recently. The kitchen is extremely small, allowing only 4 people at a time, and with very limited crockery, the lounge by the kitchen is just simple tables and chairs, vending machines, and a TV with terrestrial channels only. The downstairs lounge is no more comfortable or relaxing. There is nothing that suggests a tourist destination, and certainly none of the friendly chatter you might expect. Any reasonable shops/amenities are a good 20 min walk. And plastic-covered mattresses. Yes, you get what you pay for, but you can get an awful lot more in other hostels for only £1-2 more.
