I thought the room was laid out smartly, even though it was pretty small. Would have been less so for two people, but we squeezed in our adult son. The hotel was pleasant, attached to a JR station and mall. There were some steps up to entry, but we managed. There was a nice coffee machine in the lobby with seating that I appreciated. Breakfast coupons were for a pleasant bakery located in the train station. The station mall had a variety of interesting places to eat. I would consider this hotel chain again, as the price was reasonable for Tokyo suburb and I liked the hotel. Have learned that being close to train station is a major benefit.

Right next to the Kokubunji train station, very convenient. Bus line also out in front. Room was spacious. 900 Yen breakfast coupon was used in the mall next door but the food was good. Front desk was very helpful when we wanted to transport our luggage to Haneda two days before our flight. The price was reasonable, too, about 2500 Yen/piece.

I booked a smoking room and I got a smoking room. The air cleaner in the room works great and the room is bigger than normal JR hotels. Everything is nice about the hotel. I have been staying in JR East hotel Mets for sometime now and I am beginning to get hooked to it. If I were to nitpick, I do need to carry my luggage up a few steps twice to get to the lobby of the hotel. Not a deal breaker but for smaller ladies who are not so strong, do take note.
