Amazing property! This hotel is exceptionally clean and they truly understand customer service. The location is amazing being near the London eye, millennium bridge, the globe and waking up to St. Paul’s cathedral as the view from our room. The lyanesse bar is great with truly knowledgeable Bartenders. My only criticism would be the level of service at the restaurant downstairs. I ate there three times. Food was good each time, but the dinner I had I had to ask for my drink three times. It was busy so I let it slide. The next morning I had breakfast there. Not busy at all and you have the option of self serve buffet or to order. I ordered and asked for a Bloody Mary that never came. My waiter was goofing with coworkers and didn’t come back until he left the bill which had the bloody on it. Then when I flagged him down he immediately responded with “I know you didn’t get your drink, do you still want it?” As if he knowingly left it on the bill and then got caught. I just asked that it be taken off. He did with a half hearted apology. Third was in the evening at the bar and the service was impeccable. The menu for the restaurant is different from room service and my wife really wanted the civiche tacos. They were will to let me order at the bar and deliver it via room service. We had an overall amazing stay and every other part of the stay was fantastic.

Beautiful Hotel on the South Bank
We stayed at the Mondrian for 5 nights during a jam-packed visit to London. Prior to arriving, I contacted the hotel with a few questions, and they responded quickly and thoroughly to each question. They even helped me arrange to have an Easter basket delivered to the hotel, since we were arriving the day before Easter, and I wanted my daughter to have something waiting for her. The hotel is simply beautiful. It is very modern, and is "fancy" by our standards (we usually stay in "family-friendly" hotels, and this was definitely a step up for us). The staff is extremely attentive, sometimes almost too much for us (we are fine with carrying our own bags, and opening the doors ourselves. I liked it, but my husband felt it was a bit much, and it made us wonder how often to tip), but it is hard to fault them for this. We arrived very early on our first day, and they stored our bags, and sent us in the right direction to begin exploring. The hotel is very near to the Borough Market, Shakespeare's Globe, the Tate Modern, and in easy walking distance to the London Eye. Our room was well-appointed, had very comfortable beds, and a great shower. After busy days of sight-seeing, it was nice to have a clean and comfortable room to return to. The restaurant on site had an amazing-looking breakfast every day, and though we didn't manage to indulge even once, it is my daughter's only regret of the trip. Check-in and check-out was very easy. We loved our stay, and would definitely return.

I was recently a guest at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. On my previous visits to London I always stayed in the Hyde Park area, and I must say I loved your location along the river. We walked everywhere. I especially want to call out one of the employees, Catalin of the Bell & Door team, who was very, very helpful. A woman at the front desk had informed me the day before check out that I could get a taxi to Heathrow for a fixed price of 75 Pounds, and so we made the decision to do that for the following day. When we reconfirmed that the morning of our check out, we were told that the figure she told us was incorrect and that taxis do not do fixed fees. We were in a bind as the other parties we had traveled with were taking the train and that was not a good option for us. Catalin said he would take care of finding us a car and suggested Addison Lee. He filled out all the info on the front desk computer and within 5 minutes we had a car and driver at the door. The fee was 51 Pounds which was a great surprise. And by the way, Addison Lee was great and I will definitely use their services the next time I am in London. Their price fluctuates based on demand and the time of day, but once they quote you a price it does not change. I thought the breakfast buffet was way overpriced at 20 Pounds per person! We found a lovely little market around the corner (Waitrose) and enjoyed their breakfast selections. One other caveat is the bathtub.....no bars to hold!

Very good
A Hotel in a great location
The hotel was very good, but not as good as I expected for a five star hotel. The food was good, but the menu for dinner was in my opinion quite limited. however the area was superb and very good cafés and restaurants close by - not to forget the street food. I did not realize that I had chosen a room without view. As I remember it, there was nothing about it in the description of the room on the web when I booked it, so I hand no idea about where in the building I would be located. But the worst thing was that the service was in my mind impersonal. I did not feel that anybody cared for how we were doing, or had any interest in us, except the waitress that served us at dinner the first night we stayed at the hotel. May be it is hard in such a big hotel to give every person a feeling of being welcome and special! But if I was running a hotel, I would strive for that! But I would book the hotel again, if I were passing through London, especially because of the great location as I said before, for example with galleries, Tate Modern, The National Theater, The London Eye, The Parliament, Covent Garden, everything within walking distance..

Highly recommended
This is a great place to stay. Exactly what you’d expect from a high end hotel in central London. The customer service from all staff is top notch - polite, professional, knowledgeable. The room was first class. We paid for to upgrade from a city view room, to a partial river - worth every penny and I think better than a full river view. We had an aspect that covered the Thames moving south, with a view of St Paul Cathedral, the Walkie-Talkie building and others. All beautifully light up at night. Free bottle of water each day was a nice touch. The location is ideal - close enough to north of the river for city shopping, Shaftesbury Ave, Oxford & Regent St and a the tourist bits, and perfectly placed for Borough Market and The Shard/City Hall/HMS Belfast/ Tate Modern etc. to the south. Waterloo and Blackfriars are both a short walk for the tube. You’ll have to pay a £100 per night card authorisation when you check in, but this is London and a high end hotel, so you suck it up. The room service food was quality - burger and fries whilst watching the night lights of the skyscrapers was just lovely. Only one small little niggle, and it’s so small it’s the only one I could think to mention. I’d have expected a hotel like this to provide bath robes. That’s it! Long story short.....it’s pricey but totally worth the money. Great place to stay.
