Don’t trust the photos. The hotel is awful, in an awful location. The rooms are depressing and cold with no heating. Shower room is falling apart and hardly any lighting in the rooms. No lift, so if you’re staying on any of the top floor it’s a nightmare to climb the narrow staircase, which only gets more narrow as you climb higher. Would not recommend at all.
Room was OK size by Paris standards (always find them on the small size!). Bathroom was little tired and the shower leaked onto the floor which made the floor a bit slippy after having a shower. Hotel is in a good location: close to the metro and within walking distance of Sacre Coeur/
Friendly staff, brilliantly located 400m away from two Metro stop options and one bus route (up to the Marche aux puces). Brilliantly located for Sacre Couer and the fabric district, which is why we chose it. Renovated rooms are really nice and just the right size - shower nice and big, bathroom comfortable size. Only tiredness i saw was on the last day waiting for the tiny one person lift to return for me and noticed ceiling tiles nearly falling down in the first floor corridor, possibly from a leak? Otherwise other communal areas were well presented and tidy.
The hotel staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast very good indeed, but the hotel itself needs a bit of a makeover. New decoration and bathroom fitting etc. need replacing.
I liked the convenient location - including the sacred heart and Anvers metro station.
The staff were very nice. The room was really nice, really comfy beds and great that they supplied 3 in 1 soap, shower and hair wash. One downside was the lift as it was too small
truly awful. I have sent you an email regarding this stay
Brilliant weekend stay, room very clean and tidy. All staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend it.
I arrived at the hotel having had a very busy day at the Paris Air Show to be told I didn't have a booking, which didn't change even when I showed my confirmation. Anyway, sorted in the end. Arrived to my room on the 9th floor, lift only went to floor 7, had a shower and decided it was time to eat. Went to leave the room but the door wouldn't lock, tried to phone reception but the phone also didn't work. Had to go back down to reception with the door unlocked! Guy came up with me to have a look and he understood the issue but hadn't got any tools so he had to go back to get them. eventually fixed, well of sorts, after 58 minutes, but did leave me concerned that I may not be able to get out again in the morning. Not good when you have paid premium rates.
This hotel falls at the upper end of the description "cheap-and-cheerful". Room size is adequate. Furniture is all built-in and open-fronted, easy to check that nothing is left behind. High standard of cleanliness maintained. Open free wi-fi throughout the hotel. Desk surface with electric outlets etc. in room. Breakfast buffet had a wide range of yoghurts and "healthy" seeds, but surprisingly small range of simple cereals. There was a self-use egg boiler and sliced cold boiled ham and spiced sausage. Good variety of fruit juices and also fruit in all forms - fresh whole fruit, prepared fruit salad and stewed. Good variety of fresh breads, plus croissants, pains au chocolat and madeleines. Usual spreads. No tea/coffee equipment in room (available 24h from "bar" for small charge).Small bar area, operated by front-desk staff or night concierge. No individual safe in room.
