We checked in late Friday. Saturday morning after returning from our outing we noticed the bed my step daughter slept in wasn’t made. I inspected the bed and noticed significant brown marks or stains of some sort on the left side of the bed then found orange stains under the right pillow. We packed up, spoke to someone at the front desk, showed her the photos & checked out a night early. On Monday I called and spoke to someone at the lodge. I was informed this was from us, that a child was clearly eating Doritos in bed and wiped their hands on the bed. Two problems. One, Doritos are orange, whatever was on the side of the bed was brown. Two, the stain under the right pillow was orange but looked like a spill or from some sort of liquid. We never stopped for food or stacks. I don’t allow eating in my car. We never had food in the room. This was explained yet he continued to to blame us. I was informed he inspects each room after the maid is finished and this was not there prior to our arrival. If my step daughter was eating food that we didn’t buy, I would know considering the beds are 3 ft from each other. This could have been fixed by customer service and accepting that a mistake could have been made on their part. The hot breakfast was good and up to this point interaction with staff was pleasant. They have great reviews, this may have a been a fluke deal. Because of the way my call was handled, we won’t be back and I’ll never know. For some reason photos won’t load.

Good location for us.
I am disabled, use a cane; our room was on the second floor-on the back side. It was ground floor from the front side. We like to park where we can see our vehicle. So, it was the stairs for me. Continental breakfast was served, never did find it. There was a map inside the room, there could have been better signage: IE ROOM NUMBER xxx is where the breakfast room is located, but there was not any info. Front desk girl said it was downstairs to the left, back side. Umm, do I go door to door or what??? Kinda shady if you ask me. Now try doing that with a cane and a 2 y.o. We ate a banana on the drive home and a meal when we got home. Room had an unexpected fridge & microw. It was clean enough. The room had great black out curtains, and good heat. TV had decent cable channels. Had our 2 y.o. grandchild with us, were able to watch cartoon in the evening and again in the morning. Amenities provided included soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion; liquid body soap bulk dispenser attached to the wall of the shower. There was some dirt in the corners,, but not enough to bother us. The girl that checked us in had a nose ring and tattoos, wasn't used to seeing that on a desk clerk, seemed unprofessional, The bed skirts were too long. Kept getting our feet tangled in them when we were sitting at the edge of the bed.

This is a great place to stay, no doubt about it. Especially if you are staying for a visit to Silver Dollar City. It is very close to the park entrance. Now for the nit-picking...driving in at night and not being familiar with the property, we went past it and had to backtrack. We found a way in, but weren't sure about it as it was parallel to the building and about the length of the building, and it was down hill. The building itself is set well below the road you come in on. Not that big a deal, really, just unfamiliar. Next, our room was way down at one corner, and there is only one break in the railing up at the middle of the building, so it was a pretty long walk. We parked by the room, then had to walk half the building to the steps, then back to our room. Again, not a deal breaker by any means, just something we noted. As far as the room, 2 big queen beds, we only used one of them, but it was very comfortable and I slept well. It was exceptionally quiet the whole time we were there. Free Wi-Fi, which was good because cell signal wasn't good, no fault of the hotel. The room was nice and clean. Did not run out of hot water in the morning. Could have used more USB charging ports, but I brought plenty of my own just in case. Breakfast was good but not great. But that's ok because we don't stay at a hotel for the breakfast, we stay for the sleep quality. This place is now my go-to when I am spending a day at Silver Dollar City.

Exceptional 10.0
This is a nice hotel nestled in a nice location in the beautiful hills of the Ozarks. Their two bedroom suite worked out perfectly for our family of seven who were primarily visiting Silver Dollar City for a few days. It was clean and spacious well equipped. Our room appeared to have been somewhat recently remodeled, it had nice plank flooring in the bedrooms and living room, and rustic looking trim throughout which fit the Ozarks landscape nicely. The bathroom and kitchenette all looked fairly modern as well and everything worked as it should. Both bedrooms and the living room all had ceiling fans, and the AC worked well making it a comfortable retreat at night from the humidity outdoors. The beds were comfortable and they included plenty of pillows and extra blankets for everyone’s needs. The pool is small but appears decently maintained, there was some debris (hoses, old tank, boards) around the pool area that needed cleaned up. Of the four staff we interacted with during our stay all were friendly and accommodating and couldn't have been more pleasant. The free WiFi internet here was really impressive, after a long day outside everyone in our family was able to stream their media on their tablets and laptops without any issues. The free breakfast was pretty good by hotel standards. It was comfort food type fare with biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, toast, fried potatoes and a small variety of cereal bowls. They had coffee and juice for drinks. Overall it was a pleasant st

Exactly what we needed.
It is what it is - an economical motel solution very close to Silver Dollar City. The building could use some renovation, but then again they would have to raise their prices. We chose this motel because it was inexpensive and near SDC. The bus comes to the hotel on a daily schedule. We left our car parked all day. That is nice! The pool is decent. Nothing fancy. Just a place to cool off. Nice seating area around it. Loved the arbor. The bathroom is just big enough. Plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable. The TV was new with nice quality signal. Microwave & fridge in the room. We'll remember that convenience next time. My one complaint would be the carpeting. I think it needs cleaned. It's hard to keep carpeting clean in a room that opens to the outside, but I think it's worth it. The people there are very friendly. If you're not needing frills, but want an inexpensive place to stay while enjoying Silver Dollar City, this is the place.
