Ticks all the boxes!
Myself and 3 others friends have just spent 3 nights at the Hyatt Centric for my friends 50th birthday, to fulfil a long time ambition to see the Chicago Bears and it did not dissapoint! Everything about this hotel is spot on from the staff to the fantastic location. Would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Excellent friendly, centrally located hotel
A great location in central Chicago, with most sites within walking distance. Very comfortable and well furnished, good gym and nice private coffee area. Lovely French Bistro attached. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Outrageous phone charges!
Modern hotel a bit too focuses on minimalist design and sometimes looks have been prioritised over functionality e.g. in bathroom. Also, the hotel charged $35 for a 7 min phone call within the US. Outrageous!

Beautiful in some respects but clinical and cold
Some would think this hotel is beautiful - maybe I am too old and not the target audience but I found it clinical and bare. This wouldn't usually put me off but it was so bare it felt unwelcoming. The room was, literally, extremely cold when I arrived which didn't help. There is no info about Chicago in the lobby or the room. Maybe this hotel is a bit too trendy to expect tourists? If it can find a way to combine a cool look with a warmer welcome (this isn't down to staff who were very nice)it would be better.
