Perfect for exploring Charleston
Rooms face an enclosed courtyard with a fountain, which is a beautiful setting. The location is perfect for an exploration of Charleston. Breakfast is informal, and the cheese and wine in the eveing an inspiration! The room was lovely and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great traditional inn in centre of town with fine parking. Good breakfast and happy hour and clean spacious room. The only thing missing was a microwave - the less clients spend on eating the more is left for accommodation, so this addition would make commercial sense.

Disappointing
The room was nice, but the bathroom had rust around the showers door. The mattress was so old that it needed to be threw in the dump. Every time I turned over in the bed the headboard hit the wall. Only slept around 3 hours the whole night. Thank God we only stayed for one night. From what I was told the old manager had just retired after being there for 38 years. Another guest told me that she was not happy with her room either. She had a big round spot on the carpet beside her bed that looked nasty. I would never stay there again. Good location and parking on site at $16 per night was good, but property was definitely starting to show it's age.

Comfy stay in a rustic area
We were comfortable during our stay. We realize the rustic atmosphere of the Charleston community in the area and took that into account as we evaluated our accomodations. We would like to see a little improvement such as black-out curtains, secure internet service, better power outlets for charging devices, and a little more updated paint. The elevator seemed to have problems during our stay so that should be addressed immediately since some guests, myself included have difficulty using the stairs.

Cute, convenient, uncomfortable
The hotel was very cute and in a convenient location. The atrium was adorable. The room was laid out nicely, however the bed was very uncomfortable. The mattress was as hard as a bring and the bed creaked with every move. Breakfast consisted of a half frozen honey bun, yogurt, a kind bar, and an apple. Self parking was $16. While it was cute, we definitely won’t be back.

Birthday celebration
It was a wonderful location for my daughter’s 21st birthday. The courtyard is beautiful, but unfortunately it rained every day except the day we arrived. Only negative was the bathroom shower with toilet is a little tight. Very quiet, peaceful atmosphere.
