Head of the River
Was a nice stay in a building full of character. Room was smaller than expected (as booked superior room) and needed a little more attention to detail. Overall a pleasant stay.

On business in Oxford a quirky hotel well placed for Oxford centre. No parking though and a bit of a walk to nearest car park. Staff pleasant and friendly. Room was quirky and interesting. If staying for a night then fine. Breakfast limited but mainly due I think to pandemic

Great location - car parking is a nightmare and expensive. Good service by all staff. Could do with king size beds

Room OK. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location, 10 minutes walk to city centre. Easy 25 min walk fron Redbridge Park and ride. Fabulous cooked breakfast.

Unusually late start to breakfast
Disappointed with an 0830 start to breakfast in the middle of the week. Most would need to be somewhere by 0900 at latest so had to miss breakfast. Don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel (c. 50 a year on average) that starts this late on a working day.

We really liked the set up and the themed room. Didn't know it was above a pub when booked but definitely a plus for the experience. The place was clean and comfy.

Nice room, good location & tasty breakfast included.

Fair 4.0
Very overpriced for a deeply average room which was hotter than a sauna. The staff were friendly but really this is just a pub with a few rooms upstairs, which is taking advantage of midsummer tourist season. We won’t be going back.
