The place to stay in Bellas Artes
This is a cracking little boutique hotel in a great area for visiting key parts of Santiago. Many places are in walking distance and there is a metro station around the corner. There is a modern, minimalist touch in the furniture and fittings of the building. The superior rooms are quite spacious and the beds are large. We had one with shower at the back which was very quiet and one with bath and shower at the front that was less quiet. You take your choice. The staff are first rate. We have never had such good service from reception staff anywhere. They are friendly, helpful, have excellent English and they are genuinely keen to help you. They are also very good at arranging things for you. We really appreciated what they did for us and they really made our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. We would like to thank them for their efforts. The breakfast was varied and of good quality and there was free tea and coffee available at all hours in the comfortable reception lounge. All in all, a super place to base yourself in.

Good stay & great value
Lovely boutique hotel with comfortable rooms in a convenient and central area for us plus friendly service. Enjoyed the little things they offered like free tea & coffee throughout the day that included chopped ginger. On one occasion there was no one at reception but after 10 mins another guest let us in...small potatoes for a good overall experience.

The hotel is fantastic — looks great and very comfortable. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful, ready to answer every question. There is a great selection of barber shops nearby, for those to whom this may be of interest!

Great Hotel Choice
We really enjoyed our stay at Altiplantico. The location is very central and walkable to many of the sites and restaurants. Plaza de Armas is only a 10 minute walk. The restaurants in LaStarria are about 5 minutes or so. Cerra San Cristobal is only about 20 minutes. We had a Superior Double room. The bed was comfortable. The TV had tons of stations. The shower had lots of hot water and plenty of pressure. It is a walk in shower and not a tub. I prefer the walk in shower. The breakfast is really good with lot's to choose from. It's pretty standard far and tasty. I love the coffee/espresso machine in the lobby. I could get a good cup of Cappuccino any time of day. I think that the best asset for this hotel is the staff. Gabriel, Claudia, and Jonnette were the front desk people that we spoke to the most. They were so helpful with recommendations, tour reservations, directions, and a funny joke. They always greeted us with a "hello" and a smile. All are bi-lingual and maybe even tri-lingual. The cleaning staff is very good too. I don't know their names. The ladies in the morning kept the breakfast area stocked with food. Our rooms were spotless when we came back in the afternoon. This is a wonderful small hotel in a nice central location.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. Spacious room, a touch of modern design, friendly and helpful staff, good location. Breakfast can be better with more variety of food.
