First the good parts….. room was clean. People who worked there were very nice. Very close to Paddington Station, and just a block or two away from multiple restaurants. The bad….. thin single pane glass means you hear all the street noise. Tiny cramped room. Small uncomfortable mattresses. The toilet did not flush very well at all, but the hotel staff said this was normal and that you have to press the handle down “really fast” and hold it down. Also you could not turn on the heat during the day.

Serviceable
Very convenient and free parking are excellent attributes, the staff were most positive and helpful. However, coming from the countryside, we could not sleep well due to constant traffic noise through the badly insulated windows. No air con, so a choice between more noise or an over hot room! Ask for a room away from the road if this would worry you! Very small rooms and the fittings are dated, if serviceable. Would have been fine for the price had we been able to sleep!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Situated in a fantastic position a block away from Paddington Station. The floors were very squeeky so tip-toed at night as not to disturb the room below us. But otherwise value for money.

Lovely stay!!
We had a lovely experience at Mitre house hotel. The room was very small, but we were only there two nights and really only in the hotel at night to sleep and spent the rest of the time exploring London so it really wasn't an issue. If you're staying for business for longer i's suggest asking for a bigger room. It was immaculately clean and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was great, and included in the cost which was a bonus. There was free parking on site....double bonus!!! Some reviews referred to it as dated, which it was, but everything still functions and is super clean, so i say well done for not adding to a throw away society just for the sake of it. Keep up the good work!!!

Great Hotel/Location
Great hotel, great location and wonderful, friendly staff. We had an incident where we had to call the hotel when we were out and about, they we so very professional about handling the problem, and everything was resolved when we called back 30 minutes later. Which let us relax and enjoy our day visiting London. Look for the family photos by the reception desk.
