Super place.
Great little B and B. Breakfast was delicious. I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs but there was the option of full hit breakfast too. Booking easy and efficient. Really friendly staff. Room was nice. Clean, but not spotless. I had an en suite which was nice but felt a bit Heath Robinson ish. Functional and nice to have the privacy. Certainly not a deal breaker. The only negative I had, and not much can be done about it, is the ambulance station must have been round the corner as the sirens were constant and kept me awake. A real shame as this place has loads going for it as far as I’m concerned. I will look to stay again but will try and secure a room at the back away from the main road. Loads of local eating and drinking options close by as well as little supermarkets. Great bus service.

Don’t believe the 5* reviews more 3*
Average BnB with over inflated views and deceptive pictures. All pretty average although reasonable value. The overall reviews give the wrong impression- an average Breakfast with rooms in average condition. For example. None of the furniture matched, the bathroom was a tight 1mx2.5m squeezed into the room which was clean but there was mould about, a hole in the skirting and ceiling. Breakfast was okay.

Great breakfast
Lovely B&B around 15- 20 minutes walk into the city centre. The host was welcoming and upgraded us to a bigger room as there was one free. Nice 4 poster bed and decent sized bathroom. Wardrobe with plenty of hangers and hairdryer. Plenty of complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. Very well located into the centre. The host was accommodating when I asked for an omelette instead of scrambled egg and I had a lovely light omelette with delicious smoked salmon. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would come back again.

Great Location, Lovely Building, Breakfast OK
I stayed at the South Side B&B for two nights at the beginning of September. My room was lovely and large, with two single beds, which I didn't mind because I was travelling on my own. The bathroom was clean and facilities were great. The service from Angie was superb, nothing was too much effort. The only downside was the breakfast, it could of been updated with better produce from the local area, maybe some fresh bread and proper ground coffee (we had instant). This was the only difference between a good b&b and a great one.
