Room was extremely small but very pretty Overall the hotel was very nicely decorated but the staircase up to the room was small and seemingly dangerous because the steps were so narrow
Nice breakfast buffet and stylish ground floor, hot water wasn’t in demand, desk chair should be more comfortable, refrigerator didn’t work. Cozy bed and tub, very comfortable, delightful staff
One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The large soaking tub was a nice amenity as well. We will definitely come back.
This was the worst hotel experience in years and I travel a lot (pre-virus). Totally overpriced for a stay outside of the main season and mid week. I would have done better being in a motel, I would definitely get a better service there. I agree with the other reviewer that Covid-19 is not an answer to everything that doesn't work. The breakfast was a joke. The croissants offered were at least 3 days old. Nobody at the front desk most of the time and again virus as an excuse. I’m not sure it’s even legal for there not to be anybody present and definitely not safe. The room was ridiculously small and the bed felt like a water bed, my wife woke up with a bad neck pain the morning. I finally saw somebody at the front desk, the lady couldn’t care less about our experience and complaints. Avoid at all costs!
The place is gorgeous, location is great, close to the beach access and city center. This is a really nice accommodation where we usually go once or twice a year ! Love it !
I thought for the price of the room it was disappointing. Breakfast was very poor (Covid withstanding).
It was nice. The hotel was super cute and very unique. The outdoor space is nice. The breakfast was nice. The drinks were expensive. It was nice that it was walking distance from the downtown area.
Our room was very comfortable interesting with the quilt and all of the color the low lighting when we came to the room at night the bed very comfortable as well and the shower was out of this world peaceful and very quiet staff extremely accommodating. Thank you for having us.
Great hotel in a great area, easy parking and close to good restaurants.
I booked one of the three or four cottages on the property. Each night costs around 1400 dollars. the car/traffic noise from the cottage was unbearable. After asking for a quieter cottage I was offered a tiny claustrophobic room as an alternative. The team of one was just not prepared to properly receives us.There were other cottage options but none of their per diem housekeeping crew were available to prepare the cottages. I think it is unconscionable to put this cottage for rent for the price unless they address the noise issue by installing proper windows. There were many little things which needed attention. Both Tv's were not functioning . A few desk lamps were not functioning. I was offered a night free for my next trip. Even though, I've been a client since 1995, I was so disappointed that I declined their offer and don't plan on ever staying there again. I would suggest for people insure their future booking in case of closure and to pre screen in person the rooms before checking in. I've been a guest the Hutting inn, 1770 house, the American hotel and im truly disappointed with the Maidstone.
