    Enjoyable stay
We LOVED the hotel. The location was perfect for my family of 4. The view was great from the 19th floor. My only major concern was the pull out couch, it was not very comfortable at all. The bed in the room was comfy but this pull out couch needs to be updated - it's so thin and you can feel the springs. The room otherwise was perfect! We did have a small problem with our tub drain being clogged - they sent up a staff member but it needed a plumber and they couldn't get one during the holiday weekend. We were offered another room, but we didn't want to pack up or possibly lose our fabulous view! We appreciated the offer. The elevators were also slow, but we figured out what times were busy and worked around that. They could use an upgrade. There is not a restaurant on site but the kitchenettes are perfect for families & there are MANY places to choose from close by. We used the kitchenette a lot. Please know - there is no oven and the fridge is small but perfect to keep a small jug of milk, salad and sandwich fixings and maybe some meat (for tacos). We appreciated the security staff! They were always helpful and greeted us with a smile and kind words. The parking garage was tight but it worked. You do pay for parking. At first that annoyed me but it was necessary as there was no other areas to park. But we walked everywhere once we got there. The pool was great too - small some may think but did it's job! We enjoyed it.

    Good 6.0
Decent stay - directly on boardwalk
I'd stayed here before and you have to deal with a little hassle because they want to try and sell you a timeshare or something. We had a much nicer room the past two times we'd stayed at this hotel. This one was smaller and not as nice a view. They all have a hot tub in the rooms, so that's nice. However, this time the toilet didn't flush, you had to hold the handle down, which is so annoying. Also, the elevators there are HORRIFIC! I've never seen such a huge place have such dreadful elevators. You should figure in an extra 5-10 minutes to go anywhere because you may just get caught waiting that long for an elevator - seriously! Also, the parking used to be free, but now, be warned, you will be asked to pay for parking - like $13 a day I think and that was NOT mentioned when I purchased it, or maybe it was the fine print. And, if you are parking, be WARNED, the parking garage is always packed and you will most likely have to walk up and down the stairs to levels 5 and 6 - that's 5-6 flights of stairs, because there is NO elevator in the parking garage... it's just odd, I mean this is a hotel --- people are going to have stuff to carry to and from their car, but NOPE, no elevator in the garage. You are right on the boardwalk though and super close to just about everything in AC, and the place was super clean, bed was good and you've got ALL the amenities, microwave, refrigerator, etc... so, there's that.

    Good 6.0
The room was spacious (one bedroom unit - only two of these on each floor). The bathroom was a nice size as well. Furnishings were reasonable. The pool, on-site spa services, and game room were nice to have. Problems - staff were the least attentive I've ever encountered. Front desk staff often had attitude issues; they weren't there to take care of the customers and instead power-tripped and belittled when asked for things. The biggest blunder was not being able to accommodate our request for rooms next to each other despite asking for this months in advance. Instead, we were six floors apart. Another person checking in at the same time faced the same problem, only they were going to be 10 floors apart. There are only three elevators for the entire building - long waits were the norm. The on-site laundry facilities - On a few different floors, there is one washer and one dryer. Carry my laundry several flights down to the first one - in use. Down a few more flights, out of order, back up a bunch of flights, finally get one. Ice makers - only on three or four different floors out of the entire building. Cleaning staff only comes sporadically. Their info says that they will replenish supplies like coffee and dish cleaning items. I only had one starter pod of dish soap. It was never replenished - trip to the store to buy more. Never received more paper towels or coffee. Had to call and ask for someone to clean the room and bring fresh linens. Wifi was non-existent most times.

    sub par
Location was great. Room was ok. Bathroom tub had long black hair in it ( I'm a blond and hubby is about bald ). Could have been the maids I guess. Room was outdated. But I'm not there for the decor. Staff was ok. I didn't really deal with them much. I HAD NO AIR CONDITIONING. I slept horrible. They say to turn it off then on again. Yeah right. Woke up in a sauna everyday with sinus issues and a headache due to the poor air quality. Couldn't wait to get out of that room everyday. Slept with a cool wet towel. They charge extra for parking $13 per day. They charge extra for wifi $8 per day. Elevator service is slow. There is no elevator in the garage. Unpack and pack on the 1st level or at hotel door. Be careful of bottoming out in the garage and at the drop off area in front of hotel. The kitchenette is nice to have if you plan on staying a few days. Location is very nice. But so are other hotels on the boardwalk. Atlantic needs to lower their rates to make up for the other issues. Parking for guests should be included as should wifi if you plan on charging top rates. Would I stay there again. I really don't know. It won't be my first choice. Maybe the front desk should be a bit more outgoing or smile more. That may have helped not start off on a bad note. I paid $142 and for $20 more I could have stayed at a high end hotel with free wifi and parking. Watch the hidden fees. Room 803 has no air conditioning. Don't take that room. Hope this helps.

A fairly nice stay with some caveats
Overall I enjoyed my stay here, but for the price, I have a few things to gripe about. The 1 bedroom suite was very nice minus the huge stain on the floor. The dvd player and shelf were very dusty, but one can look past that. If you want WiFi you're gonna have to spring for the premium because the free WiFi sucks. Don't even think about sleeping on that pullout mattress from the couch. Oh dear god, I got no sleep. I should have brought an inflatable bed. The leather couch itsself isn't very comfortable to sit on as well. With that out of the way, yes, I would recommend a stay here. The rooms are spacious and that is a huge plus for me. Most, if not all, have a kitchen and high is another huge plus. Being right on the boardwalk is great too.
