Cool hotel but no peace and quiet
Hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and it's a stones throw from the M and J line into manhattan and little walk to Jefferson ave and borgart st where there's some cool independent bars and restaurants. The biggest downside is the hotel walls are paper thin and all the doors seem to slam shut resulting in your room shaking so don't expect to have a lie in

Homey Bklyn House
Very affordable. Decent location by the M train and a grocery store. Towels and Linens were clean enough, but could have been a little cleaner..hair etc.... All in all, very solid hotel..

Super stay
We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff is great from the front desk to the housekeepers, everyone is friendly and very helpful. Rosa is a lovely lady who manages the breakfast room. She was constantly keeping everything clean around the food counters & tables, and making sure the food was ample & filled to the top. Breakfast was more than sufficient with eggs, sausage, bagels, toast/jams/cream cheese, muffins of all varieties, waffles, juice, coffee, teas, hot & cold cereal & a few choices of fruit. You can have a days worth of food at breakfast! There is a large business area that is also used for get-togethers in the evening. If driving, it is a busy area. There is only on street parking which is taken by the locals. We found a parking lot on Cook Street a short walk away which was very good and reasonable. The hotel is close to the J line and a 10 minute walk to the L line. The hotel is modern, clean and very well maintained. We are staying here again.

Not for business travel.
Not good for business travel. This is a glorified hostel. If you're just looking for a cheap place to crash, then fine. I needed to actually get some sleep on a work trip and then have a quiet place to take calls. This hotel is SO LOUD. My room was next to a stairwell and at all hours people would slam the door which was so loud it sounded like it was coming from inside my room. There is no soundproofing whatsoever, so if I wasn't woken up by the slamming door then it was from conversations in the hallway or construction noises outside. I tried using the business center for calls, but again, it was so loud and disruptive. Totally acceptable if you're just looking to pass out and then get up early to explore NY, but if you actually have things to do and need to be productive, this is not a good choice. My client ended the call early because of the background noise and told me to book a better hotel next time (I agreed)

Well located, nice free breakfast. Just a reeeeeally noisy hotel. my room was on the ground floor adjacent to the hang out area and you can hear everything. Someone was renovating at 6:30AM and woke the entire floor up, could hear the people in the room next to me who also were woken up at that time.
