Bklyn House
Cool hotel but no peace and quiet
Hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and it's a stones throw from the M and J line into manhattan and little walk to Jefferson ave and borgart st where there's some cool independent bars and restaurants. The biggest downside is the hotel walls are paper thin and all the doors seem to slam shut resulting in your room shaking so don't expect to have a lie in

Great hotel and staff but i won't repeat
The hotel is nice. New and clean, really great design. However, the fan in my bathroom was on constantly, even with the light off. It made a big noise all night long so i didn't sleep well for three days. I did tell them, but after looking at it they didn't see a problem. The noise was so loud, even with the bathroom door closed. I was on the 8th floor and the wifi signal didn't get there, which is expensive when you don't have an american phone.

A nice place to stay
A quirky place, but in a good way, pretty much like the rest of the area. The room was solidly functional, reminiscent of a college dorm room, and I do not say that in any way as a slam. Wi-fi was good, when it worked (which was most of the time), and the failure there appeared to be due to an issue with the outside service provider they use for internet ( I didn't let it ruin my day, and didn't even complain to the staff about it, though I'm sure they'd have rustled the vendor up to fix it. I enjoyed my stay there, not least because of the excellent, friendly, and helpful young man who checked me in, and I will definitely stay there again.
