    Clean, but needs some TLC

The hotel seems fairly new, however, it is definaltely heavily used. There are TONS of families and the walls are pretty thin. You will hear the kids running up and down hallways and people talking. That being said, we liked our stay just fine. We have no small children, so the on-site bar was a welcome treat. It is quite large and the bartender was very attentive. The hotel is attached to a mall, which has a Target at the other end. It isn't the best mall, but if you need a quick bite or something from Target, you're all set. They have a free breakfast that has pretty good options, too. We had a king suite, so the size was nice, but the room has some wear and tear that needs to be addressed before it gets out of hand. I felt the rate was too high for the state of the place, but it was quite clean at least. They really need to hire security. I felt safe because I wasn't alone, but there are quite a few people that go there to party in the halls and sitting areas. We even had one guy follow us, but he laid off before we had to get too serious with him. I know it is hard to hire people right now, but the housekeeping staff seemed really, really spread thin. But they still did a great job keeping the place clean.

    Place is going down hill

Room was really grouse and had black mold in the bathroom. There was still food from the last people in the refrigerator. Ground had pieces of food everywhere and wet spots on the carpet. Water park is falling apart painting, rust, kid slides have holes ect. I feel like they’re not doing upkeep cause they know they’re going to be closing the doors soon.

    What a DISASTER!

We arrived for our 4 PM check in to be told there were no clean rooms available and didn’t know when there would be. They gave us bands for the water park. People were drinking, kids running around, 6-7 people coming down the slide at a time, small children in floaties getting bulldozed in the water by people coming off the slide. Welds on the slides is rusted, paint peeling in the hot tub, pool water was quite cold and the hot tub water was Luke warm, with only one side of the jets working. We finally got our room close to 8 PM. The toilet had dried urine on the seat and dried fecal specks around the inner toilet bowl. The sheets were clean and fresh. The neighbors we had got into a fist fighting, slamming each other up against the wall. Their dog whined and tapped constantly. People were starting fights outside our room, in the hallway. They said they would give me a discount. Honestly, I’d rather have my money back. The room, the experiences…not worth the $200 I spent.

    Needs some work!!!

When we originally checked in the gal was not real friendly at the front desk. We waited forever to be waited on. When she did finally emerge from the back room she acted like we were a bother to check in. We get to our room to discover the heat did not work. We go back down to the front desk and another lady is behind the desk at the time. She was friendly and very accommodating. We told her our rooms heater is blowing out cold air and making a funny noise. She immediately moved us to another room. The second room had heat and was actually cleaner. We noticed the hotel was not all that clean and the clientele was a little on the sketchy side. We also realize its oil country and things have been used and abused by the clientele. Not as nice as it use to be. Part of our group actually left the hotel because they did not feel safe because they were fairly certain they witnessed a drug deal and the gentleman were leering at their young daughters. We do not blame them for leaving. We were already in our room for the night when all this happened. If it wouldn't have been so cold out I would have also switched hotels. Just because I like to stay somewhere clean. The maintance man I met the next morning. He was very friendly and helpful.

    OLD & Dated-Needs a Renovation!

Our room was OLD and Dated-broke AC, No shower door-there was one-could see the holes, VERY Yellow-ish walls; I used the blow dryer and I swear it barley blew. The curtains didn’t close all the way-so the light came in-in the am. For paying close to $200 a night-I won’t be staying there until the place gets renovated!

    Terrible!!!!

Check in is at 4:00 PM, we didn't get to check in until 6:00 pm because our room still wasn't clean. Our kids were tired of waiting and wanted to get settled in. There were people everywhere in the waiting area and hallways waiting for to check into their rooms. I paid 189.00 for one night and it wasn't worth it! There were no clean pool towels for us to dry off with. The all around service and stay was very terrible.

    Expensive for nothing!

The staff was less than helpful, the rooms were dirty, the halls were dirty and they lost one of our reservations and basically said 'too bad, you should have booked directly with us instead of using a third party' even though we had a confirmation number. Also, part of the reason people typically stay there is to have access to the mall and the theater but Dakota Square Mall now locks the hallway right at the hotel so that selling point is also gone. The breakfast only has one eggs, potatoes, meat and oatmeal. It was a terrible experience all the way around.
