El Tovar Hotel
We were on the first floor with a view of the front parking lot. The room was noisy due to the noise and heavy walking upstairs convenient to the canyon view. Great view from the dining room and great food and service.

The bathroom we had to wait for our room to be ready. Not a spectacular view, mostly the parking lot. Would’ve been nice to know. There wasn’t an elevator as we were on the third floor. Overall, it is a lovely hotel with good food!

El Tovar NOT WORTH THE MONEY
Waited 1-1/2 hours to get past entrance which was $35. Got to hotel late and you needed reservation to eat there instead of first come first serve. Staff at restaurant were snotty. They gave us phone number for pizza 6825 and it went to voicemail and no one called back. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! Bright angel staff friendlier and gave us dinner

4/10 Fair

Heaters that break the sound barrier
The room was exceptionally small, and the heater turned on like a jet engine. It woke us up each time and our sleep suffered the entire time. If you're any kind of food allergy, the restaurant cannot prevent cross contamination, per their own words. If you're looking for a bed and water, it's adequate. If you're looking for sleep and a nice stay, keep looking.

Magical Grand Canyon experience at El Tovar's
We had a great time as a family. The Grand Canyon was breathtaking and the snowy weather even added to its beauty. We had dinner at El Tovar's restaurant (12 of us) and the service was amazing including the food. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Definitely will be back!
Cozy, comfortable but a little outdated. I’d assume there’s a rule with it being in the park that it has to keep a certain way. Great long weekend getaway and staying inside the park at the Grand Canyon! We had no bad experiences with the staff, however we did witness some. Dinner and drinks were AMAZING. I definitely recommend the French onion soup!

Loved it! Would stay again without second thought
Amazing time. We booked the room last minute as a spur of the moment stay because we had spent the entire day seeing the Grand Canyon and did not feel like driving back down to Sedona late at that hour. They accommodated us no problem. Hotel is old from 1905, very cool from a historical point of view! You can tell the rooms are dated but nicely renovated with wifi and an extra clock for multiple outlets since the room only originally had one. Restaurant on site was delicious and not terribly expensive. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Also you can’t beat the proximity to the canyon. We went out for a late night walk to see the moon and stars by the canyon… what an experience!
