Exceptional 10.0
Grand Canyon with a view of South Rim,
We stayed during COVID-19. The room was clean the beds were comfortable and the bathroom and everything in the room was spotless. L Tovar was absolutely beautiful, historic, excellent food, excellent service. The park was quiet giving us lots of space feeling very safe during this time. Our stay wasnicer than expected.

Grand Canyon Vacation
Clean, step outside and you ate looking at the canyon. Beds were uncomfortable to us but we don’t sleep on a hard mattress. Right next to El Tovar which has a restaurant. Enjoyed access to the Grand Canyon.

Management just doesn't care
What a disappointing experience we had at the Grand Canyon hotel. I understand these are different times and some things are going to be different, but management should also try to come up with different ways to make it more accomadating for the guests. They took all the coffee makers out of each room and you couldn't get a cup of coffee or tea anywhere in the morning until the dining room opened up after 7am. No reason why a staff member couldn't man a coffee and tea station in the lobby or large outdoor porch until the dining room opened up. It was easier for them not to do it. The one restaurant that was open was at 50% capacity, understandable, but don't give us the excuse when we.try to order a lunch to go that you can't handle it because the kitchen is "slammed". What happens when it it 100%? Why not open another restaurant at 50%? Then there was the check in and room cleaning. We checked in at 330pm and were told the room we requested and paid for(upper floor canyon view) wasn't ready yet. They said we would be give a similar room unless we wanted to wait 2 hours for the original room. It wasn't even on the canyon side, so they gave us a canyon view on the first floor. Again, not what I paid for and there was no adjustment because they said I went through a third party booking. When we left in the morning to hike the Bright Angel Trail, which was the amazing part of the stay, we came back to a dirty room, no towels for a shower. Shouldn't you clean more? More

Great View Room
It was amazing to lookout our room window and see into the canyon, glad we got a view room!! The beds were very comfortable, wish there was a micro wave, but great to have a mini fridge.

Parking is limited
When you arrive at the Grand Canyon Village, park your car as soon as you get there near the Kachina Lodge. Parking is limited. You may not be able to park right by the Lodge. Not a huge problem for us as we are very mobile but did need to walk a ways with our carry-on luggage.

Poor 2.0
Signage is inadequate, first time wasn’t able to locate a front desk. Parking is a nightmare We had to park blocks away from our room Rooms are old and tired

Excellent place for a family to stay
We spent two nights at Kachina Lodge and were pleased with our stay. While the building itself was plain, the canyon view was spectacular. We were within walking distance to the restaurants (though consider driving to Yavapai Lodge if the wait times are too long at Bright Angel or the hotel). The room itself was clean and comfortable. We would definitely return. Bring a flashlight as parking is sometimes scarce and there is minimal outside lighting to enjoy the incredible stars!

Grand Canyon Getaway
Once we discovered where to checkin for the property (El Tavor front desk), everything was great. Had BEAUTIFUL view of the Canyon from our room. Due to land constraints, parking @ Lodge is imited - be ready to walk several 100 yards from parking to Lodge.
