A beautiful property with stunning grounds. Roaring fire to welcome you. Inviting lounges and quaint bar with rustic features and lovely decor. Our gorgeous room featured an exceptionally comfortable extra-large bed, with high-quality linen and towels, and thoughtful luxury touches throughout. The dog-friendly amenities, included a fluffy bed, a chew and paw towel all of which were appreciated, and our ground-floor room offered direct garden access. The brasserie restaurant on the grounds had a very good menu choice and the food there was excellent and hotel breakfast was also superb. All of the staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. A lovely hotel we would happily return, highly recommended!

I wish this place was closer to the US. I’d stay there more often. Stayed in the Lennon suite, which was a bonus that the Beatles stayed there in 1964. Walked in to the wonderful smell of a wood burning fireplace. It was so comfortable and inviting. The sitting room and library also had fireplaces that made this place a delight for the senses. The staff was very accommodating and truly endeavored to make the stay enjoyable. Add the adjacent river and the Strawberry Fields bistro to the mix and it’s a true gem. Loved it and you can bet the next time I’m in Scotland, I’ll make extra effort to put it on my “must stay” list.

Charming historic hotel which has very recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The team at the hotel are very friendly and professional and the food is excellent. There are lots of walks around the hotel in the grounds and the lovely town of Callander on the doorstep. Is dog friendly too and highly recommend / also has a link to the Beatles and has a Beatles inspired bistro which is lovely.

As always a delightful stay. So welcoming and friendly - and the braw lounges and lovely gardens - mean the buildings and surrounds are as good as the staff. Only issue was the plug hole in our bath wasn't very secure and the bath water disappeared - just when I wanted a jacuzzi in the bath!!!

Fabulous town and hotel. Lots of personality. Needs a bit of a refresh but it’s a lovely quiet restorative atmosphere. Dan the waiter - caretaker was excellent. Very kind and friendly. So was Charlie. Loved the dining experience.
