8/10 Very good

Nice location although a lot of noise from frequently passing trains and car and truck noise from nearby highway. The building and room were very clean and maintained. The room was nice with kitchen sitting area in large bedroom. Close to bike trails, we had a very nice stay.

Our girl’s trip to DL was complete with our stay at The Lodge! Check-in was great and the staff were super helpful and friendly! We enjoyed services at The Spa Within located right inside the property, making it so easy to just go back to you room without having to get I. Your car and drive! Beds were comfy, room was clean! The breakfast is something to talk about- excellent choices and not your standard continental breakfast!! We will definitely be back!

We would definitely stay here again. I chose it for the location and for the price, but there were so many things that made it even more special. Wonderful, welcoming staff. Excellent location, lakefront property, every room facing the lake. We spent an entire evening at the hotel - watching the sunset from our balcony, building a bonfire on the property for which staff supplied fire starters (firewood already there) and s'mores fixings, looking through our own telescope on the expansive lawn near the beach, and wrapping it up in the hot tub. Breakfast was excellent, many choices including delicious fresh watermelon and pineapple (in September!). Room itself was comfortable, clean and spacious.

This Best Wester was beautiful, It had a majestic fireplace and seating area that overlooked the lake. Our spacious room was a lakeside walk-out, with seating on a lighted patio. The whole hotel was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff were hard working and very friendly. A wonderful experience.
