Great location!

Good location, friendly staff but the room was rather basic. The bed was rather firm, the air con didn’t work and outside and inside the hotel was noisy. The best part was that we had a jacuzzi in the room

Wonderful short break in February. Lovely little spot and easy to get around old town.

The location of the hotel is perfect and very central hence the reason why we chose in the first place. SERVICE: neither good nor bad. Didn’t really get any interaction from the staff other than the receptionist on check in and check out phase of our trip. Customer service could have better all round but just expect a hello and good bye and you’ll be fine. The breakfast is a buffet style with lots to choose from. The juices, yogurts, croissants etc very good. The cooked side of things inc fried eggs - stone cold, bacon on a tooth pick - stone cold and inedible unless you have a dinosaur jaw or a big throat to swallow it all in one go, scrambled eggs despite on an electric job - also cold. CLEANLINESS: Our room could have been cleaner, black mould around the shower tray clearly visible and the join between the bathroom and bedroom was missing, and all sorts of the things stuck in the gap. COMFORT: our daughters slept well but as adults we found the mattress very hard and pillows far too soft, all in all didn’t sleep well. CONDITION: you can tell the hotel has gone through a make over from outside and in and one couldn’t deny how impressive the surroundings are but it was all those small things that mounted to one huge thing that let the stay down. Even having someone coming round at breakfast time asking to see if the breakfast was ok would have fixed the issue that it was all cold. We were there for 2 nights and saw one staff member. Wouldn’t stay there again.
