Overall good stay.
Lovely hotel and had a great night’s sleep. However I felt as if the carpet in the bedroom definitely was needing replaced.

Good but bring back the lush porridge!!!!
We only booked the Mecure as we stayed in one before and loved the home made porridge; best ever had in our lives !!! Only to find out they had decided to start using ' quick oats' in a carton and just add hot water. Not even any cinnamon to add to this to make nicer ( asked restaurant manager) Not sure about the wardrobe/ toilet door combination?? Basic shampoo and shower gel but no conditioner ( and my hair needs conditioner) and as we were restricted on liquids as flying I didnt pack any of my own. Tea and coffee facilities in room but a complimentary Scottish Shortbread would of been a nice touch to have. Telephone not working to call reception with an enquiry so we had a new one brought by housekeeping. The housekeeping short dial just rang and rang then when we need to call about another issue. So only dial 'o' for reception( which was answered immediately)

Great room, fantastic breakfast but staff working at the bar weren’t very experienced and couldn’t mix a fresh orange and lemonade or a lager shandy.

OK - wouldn’t stay again.
Was allocated a room on level -2 despite requesting a high floor. Pillows were rock hard. Water took forever to warm up. Communal areas could be tidier. Really loud fans in the bathroom going all night. But overall okay. Wouldn’t stay again. Gluten free bread on request.

No Storage
There are no drawers or shelfs for storing socks pants etc only a wardrobe with 7 coat hangers we enquired about this, staff advised there are no drawer facilities for the rooms, the room was clean and a good shower, we were woking at 130am with a noise of poring water above the ceiling it got louder the heavier the rain outside we called the night manager who promptly move us to another room and was very helpful, when we reported it the next morning to day staff they dismissed the issue and said a technician had check this out and there was no issue however i explained that the technician would have to check the issue during heavy rain, we checked out on 3rd day staff had mistakenly charged us for 3 double breakfasts when only had 1 double breakfast over our stay, they refunded the difference, the whole experience felt more motel than hotel.
