Central
Clean and comfortable. In a good central location.

Perfectly good value for money - this is quite an old hotel so access to rooms is a bit unusual. Restaurant not open and bar closed at 20.00 night I stayed but was made aware on arrival so not a problem. The only problem with my room was toilet drains via macerator so conscious about noise waking other guests in middle of night

3 night Business stay.
Stayed for a business trip and chose for location close to restaurants, bars and city. Very convenient location, comfy and clean and the only minor point for me was the electric shower which had very little pressure. During our stay in January, there was no dinner offered but this was not an issue due to location. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar area too.

Good for ferries - bad for sleeping.
We knew the hotel would not be a quite one, and this was stated on the website. On the positive - great towels in the en-suite. On the negative, the bed was in poor condition, the mattress' springs were uncomfortable. Also the room was not very clean and was tiny! Another negative was breakfast was only served from 8:30 in the morning. Given that the hotel is very close to the docks and I would imaging used frequently by day trippers to the Isle of Wight, whose ferries start early, the late breakfast start time meant we did not have any. As the breakfast included in the price was continental only, it would have be nice if they could have supplied it to our room at an earlier time, or even the night before!
