Not sure why this hotel is rated 3 stars. and if it wasn't for the lovely staff I would probably give it less rating... The hotel is based in a residential building (which I understand is very popular in Italy). Location was great- just steps away from the Doumo and the Central station. However the rooms are just like dorm rooms. Tired, small, equipped to the minimum. First you need to get in the lift to the 5th floor where the reception is (you'll know by a taped paper on the lift). Rooms there looked nice but they've sent us t the third floor where you found out the room number by a sticker on the door. I had to get into the shower sideway as it was so narrow and small! and there was no space to even put the soap so I had to balance it on top of the shower screen and when it fell down you cant even bend to pick it up as it's so small, you had to go out and get it... we've had 3 rooms. the rooms facing the back were quiet, but the room facing the street were terrible, even with the double glassed windows you could hear everything- and there are restaurants and pubs so drunk people and others that were screaming or talking on the streets could be heard until late hours- so couldn't even sleep. the TV is a joke, it's a 14/15 inch screen. the tv mount was bigger than the actual screen... (I'm sure that just like me no one even turned it on as it was so small, so they better remove it, it would look better). Breakfast was nice, basic but fresh and enough to start the day.

The bed was hard. Location good for train and some popular piazzas.

Beautiful rooftop views, and that's about it.
This is not a traditional hotel, it's located in an apartment building with a small lobby on the 5th floor. The rooms look much better in the photos than in person. There were multiple ceiling stains, even with the windows closed mosquitoes kept somehow getting into the room, and the bed was honestly the most uncomfortable during our month long trip in Europe (literally just a box spring to lay on, we laid down a questionably clean down comforter found in the closet as a mattress pad but it was still not comfortable). Staying on the 5th floor, you would think that the staff would know guests are sleeping on the same floor they are preparing breakfast. The doors to the kitchen were open and it was very loud beginning at 7am - this was a disappointing way to be woken up in the morning. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Front desk staff was friendly for the most part. Overall, I would not stay here again and would only recommend it to others like ourselves who stayed one night before moving on. The rooftop provided beautiful views of Florence.

Good stay, location, breakfast. Uncomfortable bed
This is a close location from the train terminal. It is two blocks away from the blue line stop #17 of the citysightseeing tour and only a few blocks from stop #1 (of the same line). The breakfast is one of the better ones we've had (lunch meats, mustards, sliced tomatoes, cucumber, small bread for panini, pastries, nutella, cereal, choice of yoghurts, juice, milk, and the server always asks if you want a coffee, cappuccino, etc. You can go out on the roof, which has a beautiful view of the Duomo and the city view (amazing!). You are within about 10 minute walking distance of most of the main sites. You have a big window (at least we did) that opens and brings in cool air. Each night there were people singing at a local bar, but it wasn't too loud. The first day we didn't have hot water, but the other times we did. The only thing we didn't like was the bed. We asked for a double and we got two twin beds that were put side by side. Even if the bed was a double, if they are the same as the twin beds, they are very hard, not much cushion, and not very comfortable. The WiFi worked (on and off). Overall, a good stay.

Good location
The hotel was ok. The lobby was much nicer than the room. This could in part be my fault, as I booked a standard room. The wifi worked just fine in the room but not in the lobby. Breeakfast didn't start until 7:30. An earlier start would have been nice. The location was great and we found many small restaurants toeat in that were very good. Hotel was located close to downtown Florence.

Terrible Bed & Good Location
Check your reservation and ensure that you have the correct confirmation number from both and Expedia, since the companies have some correlation. The bed will be the worst night of sleep you ever get. This room is next to the bar and the reception desk on the top floor. AVOID. We stayed for one night, nearby there is the local market, train station, & cell phone store “TIM.” Roof top has a great view, ensure it’s not a cold or chilly evening. Breakfast provided is average. Boiled egg, thin meats, bread, jam, cereal. Cappuccino & coffee made to order at your request for no additional charge. Bar isn’t special. Overall below average since the one night was basically for a place to lay our head and it did not pan out.

4/5 .. Nice / Good Hotel.
Boutique Hotel. Staff is local, but they have a certain positive charm to them! This is right on the main strip of Florence Town Center, so location is pristine. Breakfast could be improved. Wifi was not the best when I was staying, I think they were having issues. Overall I recommend it. Stayed for 3 nights.
