This was a great location with friendly staff and amenities. Breakfast was simple but good. We were able to rent kayaks. Would definitely stay here again. However, there is another much nicer hotel located closer to the heart of town that has a much more affordable sauna (about $10 USD vs $40 USD per person) that has a better view and restaurant. Pricing between the two is comparable, so if the other location has availability it is a better option than this location.

Evelyn on the front counter was very helpful and friendly. The view from our room was amazing, nothing else like it. The rooms are simple but cosy. Note, there is no TV in the bedrooms but in the two lounges there are televisions to watch. It’s a short walk to everything however most shops are closed on Sunday.

Average hotel with poor facilities and service

The location of the hotel was great as was the view from the room. The dinner menu was limited but quality was good, however breakfast was very bad and the coffee was burnt. We were in the junior suit, it was a large room, but the furniture was dated, the room and the bathroom were not clean. There was no soap in the dispensers and no paper napkins/tissue. The hotel was understaffed and that did affect the service, since there was no housekeeping or room service. Overall an average hotel over priced for the quality being offered.

Vi var der i forbindelse med en konsert oppi fjellet. Veldig hyggelige ansatte. Grei frokost. Rommet bærer preg av av litt slitt, men med dør til å gå rett ut på brygga med sjøen så var det rommet helt topp! Var en misforståelse blandt de ansatte med å vise Norge sin VM-kamp, men der kom ei fantastisk grei ansatt pr telefonnummer i resepsjonen og ordnet heile greia! Ved nytt besøk i Ulvik, blir det fort på samme sted.

Det bedste ved dette hotel er uden tvivl udsigten! Vi havde et værelse med balkon, som vendte direkte ud mod den smukke fjord. Værelset var vist blevet renoveret med nye gulve, og badeværelset var nyt, men der lugtede af fælt af hankat derude. Alt virker lidt gammelt og slidt, og er ikke bygget i en høj kvalitet, men vi skulle blot have en enkelt overnatning, og vi sov godt, og det er jo i princippet det vigtigste.
