Very good 8.0
I enjoyed a lovely stay at this hotel, where staff were very helpful and the room was lovely, had everything needed, was exceptionally clean and well maintained. To my great delight I had a view of the Duomo. I woke to the smell of warm pastries each morning! You have to be okay with the 3pm until 8 pm check out and no left luggage facility (but you can find that elsewhere). Breakfast was from 8 am, which I found a little late. Noise can also be an issue. I heard guests make a noise smoking on the 24 hr terrace just feet from my pillow (and I couldn't open the window for that reason). Other noises - birdsong and Duomo bells were very much more welcome! Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed a lovely stay and do recommend this comfortable hotel.

Good 6.0
This is advertised as a bed and breakfast but it is a relatively big hotel-like operation, I don’t think the owners were on site (which to me is how you distinguish a bed and breakfast). The views of the Duomo from our room were fantastic, definitely the highlight of the trip for us. The walls were paper thin, we tried to sleep in until 9ish one morning and it was impossible due to the noise outside the room from breakfast, etc. Breakfast was pretty forgettable, but I know the Italians do breakfast a little differently. The location was great, close to just about everything (Florence is actually very tiny so it’s relatively easy to be close to the action). Florence overall was a disappointment, I was assured it was a great place to visit, but in all my travels to numerous touristy locations, Florence took the cake for being the most touristy.

Exceptional 10.0
Nice hotel, close to my daughters University
We were visiting our daughter who is studying abroad for the semester. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from her apartment. We were on the second floor facing the street. We enjoyed looking out the window, there was always something going on out there. It did get a little noisy at night, I think it may be a cut through to some local bars. And if someone is in the room next to you, you can hear everything they’re saying. Breakfast was standard continental fare, which was fine. They have a water pot and tea in the room. I wish there was coffee in the room, we had to wait until breakfast at 8:00 for a cup. All in all I loved the hotel, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Florence

Exceptional 10.0
Great location and great terrace with unbelievable
The accommodation is described as d’époque and you really get a good vibe of prior years. The breakfast had a lot of choice; I would have liked an earlier start than 8 am but then it is mainly for vacation purposes so 8 am is fine for most people. The terrace gives you great views of the Duomo and the top terrace has great views of the entire city with a light breeze - really THE selling spot for the hotel. The Duomo is less than 5 minutes away and there are great restaurants not too far. Hat’s off to the empanadas at the corner- delicious and affordable. The AC was fine for me but I admit it is light - if there were 2 people in the room, maybe it would get too hot. I would definitely stay here again!

Exceptional 10.0
This place was really an excellent find! It is tucked away on the third floor of what looks like just another wooden door along the street, but once you get up there, it is really nice! The breakfast was delicious and the view from the rooftop table just can't be beat! Some reviews said check-in can be a challenge but we just booked our train from Rome to make sure we arrived at the correct time. No problems. It is about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The room for three adults was clean and comfortable. The hotel is pretty much centrally located between everything you would like to see. About a five minute walk to the Duomo and maybe 10 to most of the museums and the River. We had our best dining experiences in Italy at the Piazzas while staying here.
