Small rooms.
We’ve stayed here before and had one of the corner rooms, which are quite spacious. I thought I was booking one of these rooms, but I got it wrong, and found we were in what they call a deluxe river facing room. Well, it had the king size bed as advertised and the river view, but it was very small! The width of the room is a couple of inches more than the length of the bed, which was up against the window wall. This meant that you have to climb over each other to get in and out of bed! Not so great if you have to get up in the night for the loo! The shower room was small, though well planned, where the opaque glass door was also the shower door. Shower gel is provided and soap at the basin. There is tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. There isn’t much storage, and hangers on hooks on the wall for your clothes. Ok for a one night stay, but you wouldn’t want to be here for any longer. We like the roof terrace for a drink on a nice day, with views of the 02 and the Emirates Cable Car, which is a short walk from the hotel, giving easy access to the 02. It does however close at about 10:30pm, so if you’re at a concert, you may miss the last crossing, but the DLR isn’t too bad from there. There is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. We haven’t had breakfast here. Staff are quite friendly. We like it because it’s unusual, having been a prison ship in a former life, but I do prefer the bigger rooms.

Comfortable modern hotel with good transport links
I stayed here for four nights whilst attending meetings in central london. Great transport links to DLR and Tube. 15 mins away from London City Airport, on the doorstep of ExCeL. Very clean and modern. Roof garden doesn't appear to be open. Lifts weren't working. Staff were generally very helpful ad pleasant. I found staff at the restaurant could be better and more attentive. On one occasion I was told to take a seat with a menu and then ended up having to go up and order as no-one came. On my first night I was told kitchen was closed as an event was on only to find this was not the case and indeed would have found thlis hard to believe if it was the case. I guess perhaps they are just finding their feet. Lovely area to sit and take in the views of the water and dock. They have an ironing room. No TV in room but I quite liked this. Free WiFi. I had one really enjoyable meal of a lamb kebab wrap and salad which was delicious, second meal of tenderloin pork on ciabatta was just ok - looked as though it had been thrown together in haste. Breakfast is 13.50 - didnt get it. Tesco express across the road very handy, also nice little coffee kiosk at Royal Victoria DLR station. Cafe Bonnaire across the road also very good. Rooms are small but very comfortable and I found very quiet. There is a safe in the room and tea and coffee facilties.

Nice Stay
I had a nice stay at Good Hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly and made me feel relaxed, they even granted me with a complimentary token allowing a free drink at the Hotel Bar due to faulty room electronic card, which was more than sweet as this wasn't such a big deal as the receptionist on duty run to me 5 min after I reached the room realising he gave me a card that wasn't active and apologising for that mistake. I liked their Reception Area, made of few individual reception desks served by few receptionist too which allows flexibilities and quick service in case you have more than one guest arriving at a time. Next to their reception desks they smartly located a big table allowing their staff to seat at it when there aren't any customers to serve and prevent them from standing on their feet during the whole shift. That's brilliant example of implementing Health & Safety Regulation in the working place and Company's Care for their staff. The hotel is nicely designed to represent a ship in the middle of the sea with its interior inside adjusted to its branding. Rooms mirror ship's cabins and aren't too big but I guess you shouldn't expect bigger ones following the hotel's branding. Rooms were modernly designed with smart double standard socket system to fit EU and UK charges without requiring the use of adapters. Bed and bedding were comfortable and clean. Room had a smart in room calling system replacing old phone system to use if you require any assistance from staff

Satisfactory stay at a very reasonable price
This was my first stay at the Good Hotel, and I was not disappointed. The service at reception - both on arrival and check-out - was very friendly and welcoming. The public areas downstairs (bar and dining area, TV viewing area, etc.) were very contemporary and in good condition, with views out across part of Gallions Point Marina - not really the Thames, but close enough for nice views! I went for a more spacious room with "river views". It was compact, with a big, comfortable bed - fine for me, but would be cosy for two, as there is not much additional space - intimate, I guess you'd say!. Nonetheless, the room had everything I needed, with basic tea and coffee facilities and a kettle, a small safe (no good for laptops) and plenty of shelf space. The desk in the room is a bit small if you intend doing anything more than a little light work. The only issues I had were with the small wash basin: tricky for shaving, so do expect to get water over the floor! That was manageable, but the tap was loose on the basin and the air vent was hanging off in the bathroom. Minor details, but it suggests someone is not keeping up with room maintenance. Outside of warmer summer weather, do be prepared to close the vent above the window if you want to avoid a cool draft, as the air conditioning system only appeared to have a cooling function in my room. All-in-all, a satisfactory stay at a very reasonable price with friendly staff.

Being recommended by a friend to stay there, my friend and I decided to book a Twin Room through Expedia. The staff was pleasant, the check-in was fast and efficient and the hotel looked great! The room was nice and cozy and we liked all the amenities and for the value we paid, was more than good enough. However, this was where things went south. Having used our toilet only twice on the first day, (Friday) it wouldn't flush properly. Having notified the staff at reception, they said they will get it sorted asap. As we were there over the weekend for Comic con, we didn't want this to be an issue. Having come back to the room, we did not use the toilet until the following morning. On the Saturday, the toilet was blocked again after only one use. We notified the staff once more and they said the will get on to it and ensure that when we returned, the toilet will be clean and flush well again. Upon arriving that night, we were worried to use the toilet so waited until the morning. On the Sunday, the toilet blocked again. Having this happen three times in a row was terrible and having spoken with a member of staff, we found out the hotel maintenance team don't work the weekends!! They did move us into a new room and said they will move our belongings if we packed them up. This didn't happen and when we confronted the staff, they said it got 'lost in translation' and had to do it ourselves. Overall, poor management and would not recommend this hotel to stay at.
