Fantastic hospitality!!!
Great stay and location. Literally 10 minutes and you are in the centre of Bowness- on- Windermere. Hotel was peaceful and relaxing, and the facilities I.e the pool, sauna were great. I visited with my wife and one year old son and the general manager literally bent over backwards for us so we were extremely great full.

Room 51
Had to change rooms from 51 to 65 as room was not clean and had cob webs between curtains and window.Carpet looked as if it needed a good clean. Reception gave us a family room which was a better room and a clean. When at reception there was another couple who had the same problem as us and were hoping to change room. Would i stay again the answer is NO

5 star spa, 3 star rooms.
The spa facilities are excellent. The decor in the hotel and rooms is very tired. The mattress had collapsed and there were cobwebs around the room. The views of the lake were fantastic and the dinner was absolutely superb. I would rate the spa, views and dinner as 5 star worthy and the hotel decor, rooms and bathrooms as 3 star worthy.

Lovely Stay
Lovely hotel in a lovely setting. Spa and outdoor hot tub looking out over the lake was the highlight and reason we picked this hotel and it didn't disappoint. Breakfast could have been better as no hash browns and when we requested scrambled eggs they came out cold and rubbery. Bacon and sausage was very good though. Room was large and had an amazing view. Shower could have done with replacing and was a bit small. Overall we had a lovely stay away and would book again.

Beech Hill Hotel and Spa review
The spa and reception areas are very nice indeed, relatively new. The rooms are little outdated, and basic. Not what I expected at all. The hotels it's self is very clean, the staff are superb and very polite. Great view of the lake. The breakfast buffet was alright, although the service was brilliant. We we're first put in, what I can only call a cell of a room which stunk of smoke. I complained that the room was miss sold and smelt of smoke, to be moved without hesitation from the manager. The next room was a lot better, but still not what I expected for the money.

Good spa, less than perfect room
I am in two minds about this review. The staff, restaurant, spa and views are all excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. However, the walls of my room were paper thin. I was woken up an hour early by the room next door and could hear every single word of my neighbours' conversation and tv broadcast, which was far from their fault, and encroaching on their privacy. The hotel experience starts with the room and in this case the room insulation was unforgivable. We were told the building is old and that's why the walls are thin. However I would highly recommend investing in insulation because this lack of privacy and noise sharing is at odds with the relaxing atmosphere the hotel is trying to achieve.
