    Both positive and negative

The room was fantastic. We stayed in a deluxe room with a swimming pool which was absolutely lovely with an amazing view. The pool was small but deep enough to swim a little. The negative side of our hotel was the staff. Except for a couple of women at the pool bar who were friendly the staff were rather miserable. Im not sure if they just really hate their jobs or what was going on there. As breakfast was included we ate at the buffet every morning and had dinner there once. The dinner was probably the worst part of our stay. I don’t recommend eating at the buffet or getting the meal plan as you would be stuck there each night. One night we had dinner at the Japanese restaurant which was lovely. Although pricey the service and food were good. The hotel is on a very steep hill (15-20min walk) so we needed to order a golf cart to go between the room and the beach side or walk to town. The walk to town is about 30min alongside the road. Although I loved the private pool, this wasn’t the place for us and we won’t consider going back. In hindsight renting a car may have made the stay more enjoyable.

Excellent hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The views from the hotel were absolutely stunning and the position was great; a nice stroll along the seafront to the restaurants of Elounda or Plaka. We were upgraded to a room with a private pool which was very unexpected and a wonderful luxury. I would definitely go there again.

    Good Greek boutique hotel

My girlfriend and I had a fine 1 week break in this hotel. It has a couple of good restaurants (especially the fish one, Poseidon) that are fairly priced and have excellent service. The room we had was quite small and the bathroom basic, but we spent virtually no time in there so it didn't matter. The pool area has a great view and was rarely crowded. It also had a strong breeze all day, which was very welcome in 34 degrees. The beach was OK, more mud than sand, but there's a bar down there and water sports. There is a gym with a good selection of weightlifting equipment (benches, cables, dumbbells), but only one small running machine, which meant people were queuing for it. Also, they charge you €1 for a small bottle of water in the gym! I have never been charged for water at any gym anywhere in the world, so the Marmin felt really cheap in this regard. Sort it out and make the water free, don't fleece your guests unnecessarily. It's counterproductive. There's a great little town called Plaka 25 min walk to the north with many seaside restaurants (Thalassa was good); Elounda a similar walk to the south is underwhelming and bland. Reception arranged a tour to Knossos and Heraklion that I'd also recommend. The hotel is 45 min from the airport and the local drivers will charge you €98 euros. That's the same price as pre-booking a transfer through the hotel itself, so just do that instead. All in all, we were pleased with our short stay. And the weather is superb.

This is our second visit here. The property is beautiful overall and the location perfect! The only thing is the time the main restaurant closes is early and the beach area is a little small.

Great Resort but needs more attention to Details !

A great adults only resort , to make it short , kind staff , good facilities , scenic views of the Elounda Bay, great amenities , great breakfast varieties . Staff just need to be more attentive to details , like we were back one day eve after a long day at the beach and our room door was not closed well , so kept open after room cleaning . and when asked the staff at reception, the reply was that maybe the cleaning lady had forgot to close it well ...signage lamp were not working properly outside the door and swinging restroom wooden door was really annoying to use. lighting in room as well needs to be brighter (in restroom and bedroom)

    A True Paradise

One of the best vacations we ever had, a true paradise. The hotel is perfectly located on a hill above a beautiful bay. Peaceful and quiet, all you hear is the cicadas and the goats from a distance. We had a private room suite which was such a treat that we almost didn't leave our room at all just for the perfect breakfast and for dinner at the lovely two small towns, 5 minutes cab ride away. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful.
