Unsafe and broken down
The main entrance hall is dank and un-refurbished. The room smelt heavily of damp, in bedroom, entrance area and bathroom. The fittings in the wardrobe were broken. Lampstands on each side of the bed had no lightbulbs. The mattress was in an appalling condition. No blackout shades, so woken early by daylight. kitchen had no tea towels or draining rack. Desk drawers were dirty and broken. Staircase to second bed was almost unclimbable (being nearly vertical). Rubbish had been left on shelf above desk (loo paper stuffed in a cardboard loo roll. Heating was either far too hot or too cold. Not enough hot water. Users of another apartment clearly had friends for a party, as there was shouting, screaming, feet, and noise in the passage way till gone midnight. In the morning, men outside were attempting to tailgate to get in through the main front security door as people were leaving. Two of the three safety catches on the apartment entrance door were broken, felt totally unsafe in the room. Left after one night to stay in a hotel. Feel this is a total rip-off, unhealthy from the damp, and unsafe. No response received to my text message or email sent to the management.

Don’t stay here
Awful- no reception or staff on site. They claimed they emailed me to say they needed to take a deposit to release safe key details. I spent 30-40mins on the phone providing card and ID details and then when I eventually got into the apartment there were no window blinds and it was dirty and in poor repair. I spoke again on the phone to get it resolved and was told they had a room free but would have to check I could move. Another half hour later I was told I could move which involved going back to the safes downstairs to get access again. The other apartment was just as poor and dirty and this time the TV didn’t work and it was obvious someone had forced the door open at some point (frame was damaged) so I felt very insecure all night. Later I was told by a local they had frequently seen drug deals happening in the foyer.

Be Very Careful with this one... read the reviews!
No terms and conditions received until after the booking... then its too late! (I have attached them) A security deposit is required of between £100 - £700 per apartment is required (they decide how much). They want your credit/debit card details so they can charge you for any additional charges. If you stay on a Saturday or Sunday this is classed as 'out of hours' and they charge £50 +vat to give you the keys. You don't get the 'Terms and Conditions' until after you have booked so you have no idea what you are getting into. Read the reviews, also on other sites.... they are bad. This property should not be allowed to be advertised on the internet unless all the terms and conditions are shown.

Find somewhere else
Don’t do it, despite the high price the apartment is very poorly maintained, carpets are torn, panels are missing from the shower cubicle and the door to the shower doesn’t close, no blinds at the window in the main bedroom, the door to the second bedroom doesn’t close and the room is so small that you can only get into bed from one side, general house keeping is poor, it’s generally grubby and a couple of the cups still had lipstick on them. On the plus side we had a few issues unrelated to the above problems before we got to the apartment and the Manager was very helpful, even dealing with the problem after she’d finished her shift.

Never book Lux Apartments
I have been waiting since December 2017 to obtain a refund on this booking and a previous one - I stayed one night and had to leave because of the fifth and concerns for my safety. I didn't actually take up this second booking. Lux Apartments promised a refund which has not been made. Expedia have received my complaint, but not replied to me since March, despite my emails and phone conversations with them. This is the worst booking experience I had ever had. Expedia - please get your act together on this!
