Great stay
Staff weren't so lovely and friendly. The room was very small but nice and the beds were very comfortable. Very close to the night life. Overall a great place to stay.

Just what we expected. We stayed next door same time last year at the Newbury. It's the same owners. You always get a friendly welcome. The rooms are basic but clean and just what you need. We never stay in our room so we had a nice clean bed, a clean shower, clean towels, hand soap for the sink and tea/coffee facilities. Something you never find as well was there were plenty coat hangers. There were no breakfast but we were quite happy with that because we could get up when we wanted & we found a cracking pub that did excellent food called the Washington a few minutes walk away. Funny girls is only a couple of minutes walk away plus Ma Kelly's. Great for nightlife & no taxi's. perfect location for us. Close to the town centre & beach too. I would definitely stay here again. Like I say it's everything you need for a weekend away.

Great wee hotel!
Great hotel very near train station. Wonderful welcome and the room was just what we needed - we were upgraded to bigger room at no extra cost. Beds were very comfy and bed linen was spotless. The hotel appearance was dated but what it might have lacked in decor the comfort and welcome more than made up for. It was great price and we didn't expect it to be palatial and nor did we need it for a short stay. We definitely be back.
