Woodland Grange
Nice hotel in a great location. The choice of food on the bar menu was disappointing.

Lovely hotel. We had a great stay, even with the thunder and lightning at 2am. I think there was a wedding on that weekend but we heard no noise and weren’t disturbed by it

Good location in Warwickshire
Very good country location, being in between Royal Leamington Spa and Kenilworth and just a few miles from each. Ample car parking at Woodland Grange. More of a conference centre than a hotel. Dining area for both evening dinner and breakfast was at one end of a very large room being prepared for something else, and food has been better elsewhere. Friendly reception and other staff; but reported lack of heating working in bedroom not attended to.

Avoid restaurant.
I'm sure Woodland Grange is normally a decent hotel, it looks nice and is in a nice setting. Two things unfortunately ruined our stay. We had a meal in the restaurant and I had the lamb shepherds pie. Unfortunately I don't think it was cooked thoroughly and I got food poisoning, spent the night on the toilet and felt very ill for the next week. The other thing is I accidentally left my car lights on, so when I came out the next morning our battery was flat, which meant AA recovery and just a nightmare 24hrs in general. Now I completely admit the lights is my fault, however a fellow guest saw us having trouble and told me he seen the lights on last night and left a message at reception to inform me they were on. I never got this message, and that's just a lack of service and attention in my opinion. The rest of the hotel seems fine, the room was fine, but passing messages on and cooking food safely are the basics of running a hotel in my opinion.
