Proper Glesga hotel!
I booked the ibis styles as i was attending Glasgow for a gig and drinks with my wife and friends and wanted to make a night of it. When I arrived to check in I was advised my booking for a double room had instead been processed as a twin. The girl who I think may have been the manager, I wish I’d got her name, was brilliant. She informed me she’d speak with house keeping to fix up our room to a double and directed me to an area to wait meantime. There I could have complimentary tea, coffee, fruit and pastries while I waited. Once the room was ready we were given two ‘free drinks’ vouchers for the inconvenience. Arriving at the room we were welcomed with the quirky Scottish theme which is extremely well done throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we requested a few other things from reception that were efficiently dealt with. We usually like to stay at different hotels each time we attend Glasgow however this is the first place we would definitely return to. Fantastic locality, great price, attentive staff and lots of nice little surprises along the way. Perfect for an overnight to explore the city or even a few days for a city break.

Central, functional, but ordinary
We, a retired couple, stayed for 3 nights while visiting Glasgow. It has a central location 10 min walk from the train station. A lot of the street consists of the backs of buildings on other streets, resulting in a less charming streetscape, but it never felt unsafe. The hotel has a quirky decor in the common areas and rooms. Our room was just big enough. Its only window was in a nook behind a corner and overlooked an airshaft, so there was no natural light and no view. The wifi was adequate but unprotected. The AC worked well and the bed was comfortable. There are restaurants nearby, including on the block, but especially on nearby St. Vincent St. Central city sites are in walking distance and the Cathedral precinct is 25 min on foot. West End venues like the Kelvingrove can be reached by the subway system at the Buchanan station a few blocks away. The hotel lobby, reception, bar and breakfast room share one open space a floor up from ground. Like our room, it was functional rather than charming and suffered from the use of an overwhelming air scent that would be a problem to one with sensitivities. Breakfast was very basic. There was a tendency to wait until items were completely gone before they were replaced. Service was fine, but not great. We were annoyed that our request for reservation of an early-morning airport taxi was not made, even though we had confirmed it twice at the desk the day before. Overall, the hotel was central and functional, but ordinary.

modern fun friendly hotel
Arrived at Glasgow Central Station which is a max 10min walk to hotel. Found hotel easily and checked in quickly. Friendly receptionist explained everything including breakfast times (6:30-10am or 11am at weekends) and free wifi. Room was modern and clean. Bed and pillows very comfy. Handy over bed table for food or your laptop. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Bathroom is compact but you have a good strong shower and shower gel/shampoo supplied. Breakfast was continental with many cereal and the usual options, more than enough. There was also beans so you could have beans on toast etc. Usual spreads and yoghurts as well as the more European options (meat / cheese). Good tea and coffee which is also available all day for free if you are staying for a few days nice touch. Would 100% stay here again if in Glasgow.

Great cheap hotel in Glasgow city centre
I was away at a conference for a few days, and was looking for somewhere close to the city centre and the train station. This hotel was about a 15 minute walk from the station (although it might be faster if you know where you are going), and was about 10 minutes walk from where the conference was. The room was very clean and tidy. It has good and free wifi - although it is on an unecrypted (open) connection. I didn't try to use it for streaming, so I can't comment on the speed, but it was perfect for what I needed. Breakfast is a fairly standard continental style, but a good version of that (and was included in the room rate). The staff were all very helpful. I recently stayed in an intnernational 4* hotel, and while the facilities here are obviously a lot more basic and the room much smaller, I actually preferred staying here.

Wonderful Hotel in Central Glasgow
Came to Glasgow for a quick trip to attend a concert and do some sightseeing. The hotel is conveniently located near the Airport Express stops, ScotRail, subway station, tour buses and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. I felt safe being alone as a female and as an American in the area, though with any metropolitan city globally, one should always take simple precautions. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and gave me great advice on the best option for getting to my concert (at SSE Hydro). The room was smaller/in line with most European hotels, but it had everything I needed + a rare American sized queen bed that was incredibly comfortable. It was also modern and very clean. If I ever go back to Glasgow, which is entirely possible after the pleasant experience of this trip, I would definitely stay here again.
