Portsmouth & Kittery Double the fun!
Great place to stay right on the outskirts of the downtown old Portsmouth area. Very friendly staff quick to greet you and help you with local area recommendations (very knowledgeable). Room was spotless, shower was great, and easy assessed on the 2nd floor of the building. Portsmouth has a great nightlife for all kinds of travelers. The Hotel is also close to the bridge which connects to Kittery Maine which is also great for shopping at the outlets. Also some lighthouses and great access to the Atlantic nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A Great Stay
Ale House Inn isn’t a huge place but we found it to be really great. Very quaint. Our room was the cleanest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in. Right by the water. Seconds walking to get to bars, restaurants and stores. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

Nice Inn.
Very nice stay at Inn. Reception, Josiah, very informative with recommendations for restaurants, etc. Great location, very walkable to town. Free parking was key! Also used bicycles provided for free to look around town and enjoyed that.

The location is why we booked your place and the room was incredibly nice and her one man staff did an awesome job

Very good 8.0
Our room was very clean although very small with only one corner tiny window, so it sort of felt like a dormitory or jail cell. The best part was that they had a machine in the lobby which made great lattes!

Located in a former Brewery (hence the hotel name) and right on the Portsmouth docks bordering the Piscataqua River, this is a quaint gem in the mundane world of chain motels. It is located above the Seacoast Repertory Theatre (but is quiet) and is walking distance to all of "old town" Portsmouth. The staff (Craig and his crew) are wonderful, there is hot/cold coffee on (appropriately) beer taps in the reception area, the rooms are small- but very comfortable. All in all, a great stay and we'll be back.

No AC
No ac, placed was closed. Tried to put us in a “sister” property which was not too good, so we canceled and found somewhere great

Quaint & quiet...
The Inn is quaint and clean, staff is friendly, location convenient... the building entrance could use some work.
