Cozy modem b&b style hotel
I loved my stay at Gilded. There were so many thoughtful touches from the iPad loaded with things to do locally to the fresh baked cookies to the amazing breakfast. The sheets were soft and even though the room was smaller, it was clean and cozy. I will absolutely stay there again!

Worth Its Weight In Gold!
Excellent attention to design and detail, very clean, great fireplace, softest sheets ever, incredible gourmet breakfast, friendly staff. Sleep sofa was not comfortable but everything else was 100% excellent!!!

Ruined the Weekend
We arrived from NY at 8pm with reservations made the previous day and were met by a super friendly gentleman who assigned us the last room--a cramped, noisy room next to the entry, the only one on the ground floor. The two windows looked out over parking, and beneath it was a storage area to which laundry was delivered the next day. The noises of staff and folks coming and going penetrated the room throughout the day. The bathroom had a tiny sink with no counter space. The mattress seemed more like straw than feathers. An identical cold breakfast was served each day, and though advertised as something special was anything but. For a town famed for dozens of appealing hotels and inns, this one falls way below standards. The room for which we paid $450/night (with tax) might have been worth $200 in high season, but it shouted "greed" to us this weekend. It should be retired from service as a guest room and turned into a staff room or office for which it is best suited.
