Front desk lady was rude
My husband and me arrived hotel at 3am in the midnight, because we had to drive from LA after our work. When we arrived the hotel, there was a paper says "to check in, go to Oasis at Gold Spike". So I called the Oasis to make sure that if we can still check in for Downtowner hotel. A front desk lady answered the phone and said first "You guys are VERY late." I had a lot of experience to stay at hotels on Strip, they never say anything like that even we checked in 5am or later than that. When I arrived she was sitting there and had sulky attitude. And, again she said "you are VERY late." So, I told her that I've never hard that kind of sentence from hotels on Strip. Then she said, "Oh yeah, cuz we are cheap. Normally you have to check in the hotel before 6pm. If you cannot make it till 12am, I could've cancel your reservation without any notice." I was very surprised and shocked with her attitude and how she talks with her customers. If she had this kind of attitude, she should be working with customer service. Afterwards, when I checked out the Downtowner which we stayed at, I asked a front desk guy that if we needed to check in before 6pm and if we couldn't make it till 12pm, it would be cancelled without noticing. Then he said "THAT'S NOT TRUE" He continued like "You can check in anytime, just you need to visit Oasis, that's it. That sounds like the front desk lady was harassing you. You should email to my general manager." Never recommend this hotel!!

Well where to start. I made the reservation through expedia. I was not able to Go on Friday due to illness however I paid the full Amount starting from Friday until Monday so Saturday I called to find out what time can I check in since I was going to arrive early and my rational was that I paid for a room from Friday night. Long story short I was told my reservation has been cancelled since I did not show up on Friday and they didn’t want to refund my money which I paid in advance and even bought a insurance. So after calling explaining the situation to Expedia customer Service and waiting for 45 minutes going back And forth they finally agreed to Refund my money minus 1 night however I was trying to be nice and gave them a second chance and Regretted it since I also rented room for my parents separately and chose to book the room from Saturday till Sunday I went back online and rented extra day from Sunday to Monday. When I arrived there they would not honor my parents reservation again it was my Mistake to pay in full and give this place a chance. The Lady working there stated to email my Reservation email copies and it would be taken cared of, come Sunday while my parents were Put shopping the motel did not even notify me And went ahead and rented the room to Another person which made me furious since my parents medication was left Behind and now they have to wait until it’s refilled in 24 days. I checked out and called Expedia and Informed them about it

The worst experience ever. First of all the pictures on Expedia did not match our room. Plus we were sent accross the street to a shitty building that stunk As soon as we walked in our room was so stuffy and hot that we called front desk to report about the air conditioner not working, they said they'd try to fix it if not they would give us another room. They sent the Maintenance to fix it but all he did was bang the AC, turn it off and back on. He checked another room and said we were better off in the one we were in😣 The next day house keeping never came so i flagged one down and asked about the service and she said it wasnt her room. So we left to brunch came back and still nothing. So i just asked her if i may have some new towels and sheets for the bed and i made the bed my self. To top it off the AC was soo bad my boyfriend ended up taking the filter out and washing it himself. We managed to get through the night with that broken down cheap old AC. Even with all this crap i was still polite and said thanl you Ugh!! Worst experience ever and i wish i could get atleast first nights money back for all the inconveniences we had. What they promote was not what you get. FYI there is another building that they do not show across the street from the main building.

A Dump
The smell hits you as soon as you open the communal access door and the smell from my small bedroom was not much better. It was difficult to hear the TV above the noise from the air conditioning. The dirty and unkempt laminate flooring throughout the room and bathroom was unpleasant, and I know the other bedrooms above had the same flooring, because when they walked around their room and removed their foot wear or dropped something on the floor the noise was horrendous. I had an early departure 5:00 am and I was told that the motel's reception does not open until 7:00 am, therefor to check out and to get back my cash deposit $50 I was told to walk about half a mile to its sister motel and check out there. I am 65 years old and did not want to walk with heavy luggage at 4:00 am around the back streets of downtown Las Vegas. There was no phone in the room or any other facilities. The bedroom window was no better than a small slit at head height about (6ft). This is a cheap motel and parts of it (if not all of it) are in a semi dilapidated state. Its serves me right I read the other bad reviews and thought it could not be that bad, but it was. This dump shows the lack of judgment in Las Vegas tourism authorities duty to care for its industry

The Wylde Rooms are the worst!
First off, we have stayed at the Downtowner several times before but this was our first time trying out the Wylde section of rooms. I need to mention that the front counter workers are amazing and very friendly. Ok, on with this experience... As we park across the street and walk to our room we badge in to the Wylde section and notice the very dirty carpet! For a hotel, I expect to see dirty carpet form time to time but this was a little too much. As we walk up the stairs, the fresh smell of marijuana looms in the air. The room was small, but perfect for us. And yes, our room also smelled like marijuana! Later that day I go and take a shower, the liner curtain was falling off and didn't notice until water had started falling onto the floor. I grabbed two small towels and put them down on the wet floor. To my shocking surprise, the towels turned yellow!!! Then to top it all off, the shower only seems to have 3 settings, cold, colder, and coldest! NO HOT WATER! The weather was kinda hot so this didn't really matter that much. My wife used the bathroom and dropped her toothbrush, we later had a proper burial for it. To top off this experience at the Wylde, at 9:03 am, one of the maids with a little handbook started banging on the door and asked if we were checking out today? Don'y they already have this info? Isn't check out time 11:00am? I would expect this around 10ish but not at 9:00am. I will stay at the Downtowner again but NEVER at the Wylde rooms side again!
