Very good 8.0
A very nice stay.
Pro's: Great location. Lovely room which was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable. Free beer!! I had walked past this pub hotel on many occasions over the years and have always wanted to stay here. Con's: No in-room safe which meant I had to keep my passport, spare credit card, all my cash etc on me at all times. WIFI did not work which was a pain. No in-room tea / coffee making facilities and no dressing gown provided which meant you had to get dressed to go to the kitchen area in the corridor to make some tea. However, I enjoyed my stay at the Bull & Hide and would recommend it.

Good 6.0
Incredibly convenient to Liverpool Station. The room was clean and well designed and decorated, much nicer than expected and also very spacious. The bathroom was huge and very newly remodeled looking with a large soaking tub and a separate shower stall. The shower knob was super difficult to turn on and off it was just a small situation that was extremely annoying. If I had more time though I would have enjoyed lounging around in this room. In the evening it was quite windy and there was a lot of outside noise, perhaps a loose awning or something kept sounding like it was hitting against the wall which was a bit disturbing. There is also no lift and the suite was three stories up winding and steep narrow stairs. I got help with my bag going up when I checked in. But for checking out there was no way to call for help because there isn’t a traditional front desk or operator. The service is just a staffer working in the pub on the ground floor and when I picked up the phone it seemed to be just a normal phone and I didn’t know how to call anyone. They were very nice people but it’s was just inconvenient to deal with that.

Exceptional 10.0
A gem in the heart of the City
We had a stunning room on the top floor, where attention to detail was quite obvious. I love the idea of the kitchenette with free refreshments - a nice touch! One word of warning though - you need to be fit to get to the top floor of one below it, so worth discussing with the hotel as these rooms are perhaps not suitable for all. That said, the staff and friendly and accommodating, so any special requests shouldn't be a problem.

Lovely place!
Absolutely fantastic stay. When we arrived we were shown to our room straight away. Staff were lovely and the room was awesome. Very clean, great facilities and the best location for the City area that I could have wanted. 2 minute walk from the Gherkin, 1 minute from Liverpool Street and next to every facility you could need. I would recommend this for couples or business, as far as I know all guests must be over 18 so no family rooms. Excellent all around.

Very good 8.0
Great stay.
Lovely place, but it has its faults - the noise. The area is a popular area for drinks and there is a new building on the rise across the hotel. Our room faced the street and at times, the noise was quite loud. The room is perfect and the staff made sure it was clean and we could use the small pantry on the second floor. The pub does serve food for breakfast and lunch, which was great. Plenty of options in the neighborhood - especially Kenza (a Lebanese restuarant) is worth visiting.
