Overall experience was good. Bed was really comfortable. Only negative was that I requested reception for some hand soap as it hadn’t been replenished from the previous day. I waited 1.5 hours and still didn’t get any until I went back and asked again

Great location...nice hotel
Great staff and very helpful. Chronic car park, needs organising better. Room OK but way up to it and the room itself looks like a more regular lick of paint would help. This is a top dollar town and I am am always cynical about how much notice is paid to these reviews when they can fill this place all day and everyday but please staff, road test the rooms, touch up when it is needed and that will match your great service! I was also slightly bemused by the fact that last orders were called dependent on how quiet it was rather than customer demand. Hey Ho!

Weekend break
Despite our room being on the small side, overall we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Not he best end to our stay though when we discovered our car had been blocked in in the hotel car park which delayed our departure by 30 mins. Hotel staff were very helpful in resolving the issue.

Do Not Go there
Well for starters, there was no one to great us in and had to look for the receptionist who turned out to be the manager twice to book us in. not smily nor pleasant just said lovely twice and then told us theorem number and where it was. no info about breakfast or any thing. Room was small, thinly small dressing table was filled with the coffee and tea cups. no cupboard just four hooks on the wall. the show tub was wet and the skirting board peeling off paint. The room was next to the road with no double glazing and therefor noisy. The wall between the rooms so thin that i first thought the radio was on and then the kids laughter from next door didn't let us rest in the afternoon so we left to go out. back in the evening and music from downstairs was loud and we heard next door calling reception to turn the music down ( how thin is this wall ). the restaurant was loud and busy with people and not atmospheric so we went to the lovely opposite Hotel restaurant the Porch House which was wonderful. I am a young 58 year old and I did not enjoy the service nor the room. I was tired the next day and therefore not full of joy. Give this place a miss, its no way a 4 star Hotel. I wish I had paid more and stayed in the Porch House.

The hotel was lovely.Great restaurant and bar and fantastic outdoor seating area.Car parking was tight and was always full. But the room was very disappointing. We booked a double for 2 nights, it was the smallest room weve ever stayed in and weve stayed in a lot. There was no storage at all just 3 coat hooks on a wall next to bed most of our clothes and all other items had to stay in our large holdall which took up all the floor space at end of bed. Would not want to spent more than 2 nights in a room that size
