A relaxing stay...
Our second stay in the hotel, as it was near where our relatives leave. And we expected it to be what it was, suffice to say we loved the thought of when the hotel was built. The service was good and very friendly!

Living in an olde inne :-)
Had the chance to stay at this centuries old hotel whilst walking some of the Thames Path - lovely place, staff were very friendly and accomodating, brekky was huge and just what you need to start the day. Yeh the place has some minor 'warps' in its structure but it's very old and this adds to its quaintness in my eyes - what made this was how friendly staff were from the bar staff to owners - very enjoyable

Character full hotel in the centre.
Lovely little hotel above a pub right in the centre. A bit dated but full of character. The breakfast was hearty.

Needs a lot of improvement
It's pretty run down. Mentioned kids could have yoghurt at breakfast then didn't have any. Had sour milk out for cereal. Rooms very tired - our ceiling looked a few weeks away from coming down. Rooms were clean though, and big enough. Beer garden is quite nice. Really needs a few hundred K thrown at it. We came for a night after staying at the Premier Inn in Witney. I'd rather give independents my money than a big chain, but this kind of independent might make me think again.

Quirky Hotel with character
Working in the local area this hotel is as it says Quirky, very old building but a good stay generally for 4 nights, great breakfast and friendly staff, moved room due to a leaky roof but all well done, wifi in my new room was not great as remote from router, only poor point were the bathrooms had only a bath with shower hose so not able to shower which I prefer especially on a longer stay and running a bath is not my favourite pass time but luckily showering was possible at the golf club I was working at, would stay again as village is nice with plenty to do with lots of pubs and restaurants around.
