Good 6.0
Good and central location in San Sebastian. We stayed in the twin room which was in the other part of the hostel not the main area. The kitchen and common area photos don't match to photos that are posted on hotels.com These needs to be updated. The kitchen and bathroom cleaning was very average.

I arrived quite late in San Sebastian after a long day of travel past midnight. Check-in took a bit of time, but when all checked-in, I was pleasantly surprised to see how clean the room was! You are assigned a locker to which you can use your bracelet to unlock electronically, and each bed has a socket, USB charging port and a curtain to block any sunlight from seeping through, which is a plus. The hostel is very conveniently located. Fresh grocery store by which you can walk to pick up some fruits before heading off to the beautiful beach. The beach was only about 8 min walk away from the hostel, and the central bus station was also about 10 min walk away as well. Essentially, everything was within the walking distance. The only minor downside I experienced was that at night the hostel could be quite loud (just like with any other hostels, but this one seemed to have particularly loud neighbors at night) Just make sure to bring a pair of ear buds just in case.

Comfortable stay, clean bathrooms, good location!
I stayed in the 6-bed room. The layout was a little small, but bed was comfortable. Privacy curtains were great, they had a power socket, some hooks and a little shelf for each bed. The shared bathrooms were also really clean, which was much appreciated. They have common areas, but not much atmosphere in them - if you can’t make the pintxo crawl, it’s not that easy to make new friends. The “access key” is actually a RFID band that you can wear around your wrist - mine didn’t work, and when I was trying to get it to work, the band snapped - I was forced to pay 5€ for a replacement, even though it wasn’t working before. Would probably still stay here next time, just not wear the band!
