Whilst the quality of the food is good there is very limited options. In the evening the only options are a buffet (average quality) or Japanese (which is very good). Staff on the front desk are average. On three occasions they didn’t know answers to our questions and promised to come back to us and then didn’t. Further, we wanted to book the Japanese restaurant one evening and reception informed us it was fully booked. A few minutes later we walked to be restaurant and was told there is availability. Just seems the reception staff can’t be bothered, some are also arrogant.

Gorgeous Beach Property
We stayed at this property less than one month after they opened and it was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The resort was gorgeous. We highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a place to relax on / near the beach.

The property has just opened so the staff need more training. The building is an existing one and it was renovated so I think it could've been better. The breakfast area staff was really good, however, the pool and beach staff need intense training. The hotel has very little food choices. I would not stay there again.

Nice property, cozy rooms, housekeeping great, breakfast nice but other food (in-room dining, japanese restaurant quite mediocre...). Staff at beach need some training (had to wait 2h for order a drink). Spa facility nice and staff friendly but overall it feels more like a good 4-star hotel. Compared to many other hotels in Egypt this is a good choice but compared to Chedi Muscat this is only a 4-star hotel.... One more thing: strange that the beachguard needs to supervise the guests as you enter the water....like a bodyguard. It felt quite annoying as a guest so my recommendation would be that the beachguard stays in his tower supervising guest from there. If you are looking for a nice hotel in Egypt (not all-inclusive) in a calm area this is a really good choice but dont expect a 5-star experience, then you will be dissapointed.

Disappointing and not worth the money. At the moment I can't recommend it. I know that the hotel has recently opened but I think you can expect more from a "The Chedi" hotel because they have experience with their other hotels. We stayed in a Beach Front Room on the ground floor (which I would recommend). The rooms are small but cosy. Housekeeping was good. These rooms are perfectly located at the beach. The beach is nice but needs some improvement because the sand got washed away by the current, so you have to walk on sharp stones into the sea. The service at the beach is very weak. If you're lucky someone will ask you once if you would like to order something. In general the staff needs a lot of training. The breakfast is good and the service during breakfast okay. The food which we've ordered in-room was good as well. The NYE dinner menu at the Japanese restaurant Nihon was pretty tasteless unfortunately. The hotel premises don't feel premium. In some areas constuction works were still going on.
